@pbrandes & @Count de Monet A little while back my good buddy lobster mentioned about sticking with plain toe only. I was definitely the same way until I finally got into wings & medallions with casual, then finally said WTH and started with the dressy styles too.
As much as I like the spectator styles like the broad street, I still feel like they're the "loudest" offering possible. I have no problem wearing my green rush street or red neumok, but something like a brown & white broad street I just don't know if I could pull it off - although I really wanted a pair ever since they were first released. In a similar vein, I passed on the 1776 - I know they would have been really comfy after breakin but the white and dark contrast was too much for me.
When you guys wear these, do they immediately grab everyone's attention or am I over worried?
My brown/white longwing spectators definitely grab peoples' attention. They are by far the most often complimented pair I own. If you're not ok with this kind of attention, I agree steering clear is a good idea.
