Walnut McClains today (for walnut wingtip Wednesday):

I keep coming back to this picture because it's about as perfect as it gets.  Man, if only all bourbon was like this.  I'd say less than 5% look this good.  I'd even rather have this color than walnut.

Where in TX are you from? I grew up in San Antonio

I'm pretty sure they were $199.  I can't remember for sure, but think I  got my seconds for $139.  Maybe they didn't like the way the dye came out, but I can't find and real faults with them.

I can't wait for the holiday season - I'm going to rock the crap out of these.  This will be a shoe-purchase surprise my wife will actually like (I think...  I hope...)

Agree - Those are some seriously special Bourbons.

@orange fury is the bourbon king.  His McAllisters look even better than the Strands.

I've worn mine three times in three years.  Once a year to the office Christmas party.  This year, I might wear them twice a week from Thanksgiving - New Year's Day.

Droubi Bros?  Zabak's?  Dimassi's?  The FBWs must know!

Don't forget the Mexican Coke to wash that down, though sometimes I opt for Grapefruit Jarritos.

Ok, I think the East German judge has deducted half a point for the left sock, and one might question the sanity of wearing what appears to be flannel pinstripes in Houston before Labor Day, but otherwise this is just about "dead solid perfect" (as Dan Jenkins might say). But I'm biased because I love wearing merlot/burg/color 8 wingtips with flannel suits.  I just need for it to drop another 10-15 degrees first.  :)

Seriously, that is a very nice pairing IMO.

Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill- I received an email from Uber this morning that it was national gyro day and they were offering free Uber Eats delivery. Everything was great, but the tabbouleh specifically was fantastic.

There's a Yia Yia Mary's across the street from my building that we frequent, which is decent enough, but this was much better and half the price.

I'm having to talk myself out of wearing them already. Once we hit Thanksgiving, twice a week is likely... wink.gif

My friend got a pina mango (came in a cup so not sure if it was a can that they poured or bottle). Wasn't Jarritos, but so good. I think I'm going with that one next

Spoke to a SA a few minutes ago (I was going to buy them off the bank) and he said Jingle Bell Mok will return. Awesome news.
