Probably doesn't hurt calling to see about getting firsts with the additional 20% from last week its possible they will honor it still. I was just about to do this because those look better than the stock photos. Had to take a breath and think about when I'd wear them and it occurred to me that I would probably not wear them with jeans and I don't wear chinos enough to justify. Sad because they look great but they'd sit a majority of the time.

It doesn't look like they have them in my size but it probably doesn't hurt to call and ask.

i must say that it is a very bad idea to visit this site or the Shoebank site when you are in wife imposed financial lockdown while closing on a house...

Why AE didn't sell boatloads of those I can't figure out - until the Higgins Mill (and maybe still), that is my vote for most attractive AE boot ever...

Friday Lobster wears Clark Streets.  The largest 8 D shoe ever.

How do you like the Clark Streets? I just noticed some on the Shoe Bank (not sure if I just never noticed them or if they are new).

I love the design, but there are a few things to consider before buying.  The heels are very large and loose.  I have to lace mine a specific way to stop heel slip.  They are also 1/2 size longer than my Lasalles (which are on the same last).   The dainite sole is okay.  Not great if you have to walk all day, but fine if you are not walking a lot.  Dainite is just a little too hard for my feet.

Here's what happens when I don't wear shoes with a Goodyear welt. These are Johnston & Murphy.

Thankfully it's casual Friday so I just tossed on my gym shoes from this morning.

Appreciate the insight, thanks. I need to stop looking at shoes until the sale haha.

Buy all the shoes. Even when I'm not looking for shoes I'm on ebay looking for deals. Its a problem. Maybe. Oh well.

Were these purchased new? From AE? When I think of AE shoes that run large, the Clarks are not one I immediately think about. (That's reserved for models on the 809 like the Gobi.)

With all of the recent ebay chatter, I have a question for the group: What do you do when there is a serious indention in the footbed?

I've had reservations in the past when it comes to used shoes, primarily because I don't know who was wearing them, if they share @SLCRich's taste in socks :tounge:, or what type of imprint is left behind in the footbed.

Purchased mine from the CAC.  They were the last pair they had in my size.  Perhaps they were mis-labeled as 8 D when they might be 8.5 D.  The arch fit is normal, but the heel is insanely larger than my other 108 last shoes.
