Interesting!..... So applying that to his 8.5D fit, you'd go with a 9E? (Assuming the orthotic was necessary, of course.)

Here are some of the new Neumok. 2.0 colors.  Comments welcomed!

I am a bit disappointed in the gray.  It is more of a greenish gray instead of a pure light gray.  Hopefully they are all on sale for RDA Sale!

The Strand and its cousins are not really my thing, but I have a thing for olive color.  I would choose that if it were up to me.   I wish they would use that olive color on other shoes like the Delray / Lasalle, Leeds, Academy or Park Ave.

Does anyone have a pictures of a Dalton to share?  How do they fit?  I have a pair of cordovan but need advice on how they are supposed to fit.  They seem tight in the toe box to me.  I don't want

keep a $600+ boot I can't wear. I got these for my birthday last month.

Long story short, he fell for the Strand (who wouldn't) and ordered two pairs of seconds as he's not sure of the size. See, he wears orthotics (spelling?) And while he was perfectly comfortable in an 8.5D without it, with it he needs an 8.5E or 9D. Even then, the fit is not as comfortable. Turns out there was a stock error on the 8.5D Merlot Strand so he's only got the 9D oxblood Strand. Before I try to get him an 8.5D, anyone have experience with orthotics? It's my feeling that wearing a shoe like the Strand may negate the need for extra support. But I'm not a doctor.

Thoughts?
James

If possible, i'd try to show the shoe to his foot doctor and see what he thinks about it. Maybe it will be OK without the insert, or can suggest a better orthotic for one of the larger pairs.

Strands are very nice.  I have the midnight blue, bourbon, and merlot.  I got the walnut during Nordstrom's anniversary sale but returned it due to color variation and wrinkled toe medallions.

1)  2nds Cordovan Cambridge RETURNED

2)  2nds Hopkinson Merlot RETURNED

3)  Park Avenue Merlot

4)  Randolph Merlot

5)  Bainbridge Navy RETURNED

6)  Strandmok Navy

7)  Dark Chili Cornwallis

8)  Walnut Strand  RETURNED

9)  Bourbon Mora

10) Strandmok 2.0 Blue Suede

11) Mcalister Merlot V tread

I'll admit I went a bit overboard but I had to see them in person as I don't have an AE store close.

So there it is, what do you think?  What would you keep?  If you could keep 2-3 and return the rest?

When you love Allen Edmonds like we do you want to keep them all but I refuse to be a slave to a credit card. LOL.

Based on your comments I have narrowed them down to 7 which is progress but still having trouble deciding.  Which would you keep?  I'd love to keep them all but I think it's a bit much.....it's a tough decision.  How do you guys make decisions on what to return?  They all look great!  :)

What size on the Dalton relative to any 65 or 511 last shoes that you feel fit properly?

These are 11.5D and normally in a 65 last I wear a 12D.

Dark Chili Cornwallis (they're sexy)
Blue Suede Strandmok 2.0 (they're comfy)
Bourbon Mora (monk straps, like ugly chicks, need love too)

Good comments.  Thanks for responding.  I agree the Cornwallis is very cool looking!  The blue suede are comfy and the bourbon monk straps are different.

Anyone able to comment on this one? I'd appreciate the help. I already have 2 Manistee belts and I'm trying to avoid a third.

I definitely plan on snagging a dark chili Cornwallis as my next shoe I believe. Though it does depend on what they release in grey this fall (if anything other than what we know).
