Was recently in the Cole Haan store on 5th ave looking for a pair of burgundy/oxblood shoes for my father in law. The nice young man there told me that they only carry classic styles and that if we wanted something outside of the norm, we should check a department store. Didn't even know what to say about that, so we left. Actually, nobody had much in the way of that color other than AE. Since when is that not a standard color??

They have a color called Cordovan.  Mostly my Cole Haans are British Tan, Black, Brown and Blue and Chestnut, Woodbury.  LOL, I have 69 pair of Cole Haan shoes.  I wear them all.  Most of them are Zerogrand and Lunargrand bu

Kicking myself for not ordering these like last week! I've bought so many shoes in the past 40 days that I had to "think about it." Whelp, now they're out of my size!

2-pair for $35 is pretty close to a 2-for-1 price.  The Epics are far better than the one-piece - I like how they support the vamp/lacing area.

For the folks who think the Epics run small, I don't think she trees need to (or should) have a lot of tension on the heel counter.  I'm an 11.5/12 and they fit most of my shoes without much tension.  That's a good thing.  Their shape is going to keep the vamp/etc. filled and at a proper shape - no need for a lot of pressure.  My $0.02.

Mingus - Know how you feel. Saw a pair of Walnut Daltons in my size for $199 on the bank a month or so back and I held off. I'm now absolutely kicking myself for that rare display of restraint. Worse, I'm checking the site almost every day in hopes that they'll somehow be deep discounted again. Oh well.

I have had them for several months now.  They were in basically semi-new condition with some light wear on the soles.  There is a slight lump in the footbed that falls right behind my toes so I don't really notice it, but I'm sure that's why they were returned and came into Dobondo's possession.

I love camp mocs/canoe shoes. They where tight when I first got them. I sized down from a 9.5d to 9d and returned them for 9.5d which started out tight but has stretch almost too much. Idk if that's because I use them as a rain shoe, they are water proofed, and general beat around shoe. I reach for them when there is any question of whether wearing another shoe could damage it. As such some of my stretching is I have used these with wool socks as a three season shoe and changed at the office which contributed to their stretching. My only complaint is that I wish instead of it being a loafer, for my needs, it be better as a blucher moc which AE does not offer. If AE offered that I'd buy it in a heart beat.

Thanks. How is the length compared to the patriot? I had trouble with the Patriot due to the toebox being too sloped for my big toes. But going longer made them too loose. frown.gif
