Style Question - Checked shirt w/ pinstripe suit - Page 2

Orange or red tie, not the blue one.

cool, tx. so the shirt is ok as well?

Checks and stripes are fine but I think the width of the tie stripes too closely resembles the width of the suit stripes. Contrast is good.

That doesn't look bad, but I'd go with a more subtle tie, solid in this case. There are too many patterns for my taste.

The suit and shirt work fine to me. Often times the clashing patterns can be a bit much but I think you pulled it off swimmingly here. I would change to a solid tie or something though. the added stripe of the tie dose become a bit too much.

If any of you have been to Spain recently and traveled around the country by train, many of the on-board male employees at RENFE (Spanish national railways) wear a uniform that consists of a navy pinstripe suit, white-blue checked shirt, and a solid tie (I don't remember the color of the tie). Never thought checked shirt and pinstripe suit would look so good together, but the uniforms on these guys looked good. Unfortunately, I can't find any pictures online.

Hi,

Found a lovely shirt on sale yesterday and was planning on wearing it with my blueish jacket. But I feel the checks on the shirt are too close to the pattern of the jacket. What do you guy think?
