Vale Umberto Eco has gone West. Thank God I've been drinking Pinot Nior tonight. His latest book was next on my list.

Went to Oscar Hunt for a second fitting today, minor alterations required to shoulders and sleves.. **** Sydney and the god awful humidity.

Sydney and humidity? Come to Darwin right now, I guarantee it's three times as humid - sometimes I wonder how this place is even inhabitable. Seriously.

Try Woolies.

Thats what I like about this tread the practical advice that is so freely and generously given.

While at Oscar Hunt I noticed that someone had a a jacket made up from one of the fabrics I considered however looking at it I realise that it would not have been suitable for HR interview work :brick::brick:

The image doesn't do the colour justice the orange is much more vibrant.

My brother in law has lived there for thirty years loves it, now he finds Sydney winters intensely cold.

MJ Bale has long and short sizes.
$200+ extra for a suit you've never tried on?

I've got... 4 Suitsupply suits. 2 x Washington, a Napoli and a double breasted. and believe it or not, their online customer service is miles ahead of MJB, not to mention it's free shipping (if over $500) and free returns, so to return the suit you only have to leave the box at your doorstep if you get the wrong size. and no import taxes payable for purchases over $1k. that's why I don't bother with MJB.

went to lilo tang last night - have lived in canberra just over a year now and it's easily the best restaurant i've been to here by miles.

Was always a big fan of the Charcoal Restaurant on London Circuit.

Sage is worth a look. And the Ottoman is always good.

This. Susu suit range is the largest in the industry. Customer service is insane. Multiple times these guys went above and beyond to fulfil my requests. I have been buying RTW suits from many different makers- but ever since I purchased susu I just don't bother looking at others.

Been to both Sage and Ottoman good food and wine. A couple of the best I have been to are Rubicon Mod Oz and Abells Kopi Tiam Malay Chinese food at its best prefer it over Sammy's.

Restaurant fare has remarkably improved in this town over the past couple of years. Still nigh on impossible to find a decent Thai Restaurant in Canberra.

Anyone have suit made by Oscar Hunt?

Talking about umbrellas - anyone have a local source for those cheap clear see through plastic umbrellas you see everywhere in Japan that are small and cover you like a cone of silence? I'm wishing I had bought back a dozen or so.

My Canberra top 3 is Rubicon, La Cantina in Narrabundah and Ellacure in Bruce.
