Gastroporn interlude; Truffle season is just about to end so a last indulgent supper planed for this weekend.

Nice - where did you buy your truffle? I bought one from one of the delis at Fyshwick markets once and it didn't taste like much, it had clearly been sitting in the cabinet too long

I get mine from Terra Preta Truffles at Epic markets you have to use them within a couple of days. Decided to cook a mushroom, goats curd and truffle ravioli with a burnt butter sauce.

Sounds sensational.

Now that the GBP is dropping against the AUD maybe I should start a proxy business until I leave (semi-joking but IIRC pediwear won't ship to Australia anymore so if you're in need of help you've got until Christmas to get in touch)

Pediwear do ship to Australia, I bought a pair of Alfred Sargent from them a month ago. I think they no longer ship Loake to Australia.

2 things:

1. Saw a couple of sub-$300 Loake1880s in Enrico Santi in Pitt Street this Arvo. I think one was just $200. Around size 8.

2. Need suggestions for a wedding gift less than $100.

Canberra chaps

Buttons!

I'm looking for somewhere to pick up some nice buttons. I'm trying my hand/waist at rocking button suspenders, and some online purchased ones have just arrived, but I have no buttons! Although not visible, ill feel better knowing I have some good quality buttons(whatever that means as far as buttons are concerned).
A possible online suggested appreciated too!

Cheers

Just go to lincraft or spotlight in qbyn. Most button braces should come with them but in anycase, they should be hidden so don't fret about how nice they are.

And while you'll hear people whinge about cyclists around town like you do everywhere, the Cycling infrastructure is probably the best in Australia.

Excellent!

I'm expecting to enjoy it, will move over sometime in mid-January, before Australia day.

Thanks for the PM GF!

Just give cash. Junks under $100 are terrible. I always check cost per person and just give cash equal to or more.

No registry. Got something at DJs, they can exchange if required.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Should have gone with navy grenadine instead of forest, in hindsight.
