Endclothing sale is on for anyone interested. Good chance to stock up on jackets, plenty of Barbour stock.

My procrastination finally paid off, picked up a Roadmaster for $655.

Lord we evoke thy blessing so the Wallabies
may smite the English infidels and wipe that smile off Eddie Jones mug.

This question is to FXH specifically but I'll address it to the thread generally:

Does anyone have any experience with Baxter boots?

The leather on my Craftsman is starting to give where my little toe is. due to their price I'm looking at trying a pair of the Baxter Saddlers due to the recent inflation of RM Williams prices.

I have the Henry Baxter Classic, Oli, had them for some six years now, the leather hasn't gotten damaged yet. I highly recommend them.

I couldn't afford slippers from Aldi.

I waited outside cocksackie's Toorak Mansion on Wednesday bin night.
Luckily it gets dark around 5.30pm.
I waited until his man servant trundled out the wheelies then I dived in and snaffled the fluffy slippers, brushed off the caviare and truffle stains and then they were as good as used Ugg boots off Gumtree.

I guess that's why they call you a silver fox - you go through the bins.

They are indeed. But don't tell FXH that.

Hey, I have manservant wages to pay.

Oli - no idea why you are asking me. I don't know whether to be flattered or insulted. I am not a squatter and do not wear 'lastic sided boots.

Many years ago when I was on a a farm and owned a semi trailer I wore RMWs for work and they were good boots.
I am of the opinion that RMWs are over priced to buggery for real work boots these days.
I mostly cleaned them with Kiwi nugget.
I do currently have 2 x pairs of RMWs in the back of my cupboard. They are a sad relic of my rock dog years - sporting cuban heels.
One pair are black Santa Fe's and the other a brown round toed model. I no longer wear them.
However were a Carson, Mondo Rock, JJ Zep, Spectrum, AC/DC, Country Radio, Dead Livers, Madder Lake tribute band to play at the local RSL Parma & Pot night - I may well slip the black Sant Fe's on over my arthritic feet under my black skinny jeans and combine with my Sabbath T Shirt and leather jacket and venture out.
As long as the gig was over by 9.30pm.

Of the Baxters - I have no knowledge. Although I hear OK things about them.

Nope.
The reason they call me the silver fox is because I only ever tip, 5c, 10c, 20c or on big occasions when I want to impress companions - a 50c coin.
