I did a stint for a week, between law firms and finance offices. It's not your Strayan' biz cas. Suits + ties, even in summer. The law offices are more conservative business dress. The finance guys pop up with more colour.

Have you had any luck with lodging? I was a little wary of your budget and the options available within that budget.

I'm a bit concerned about what suit to bring as I have a brown worsted and a medium grey small checked light tweed suits in my normal rotation as well as odd navy double breasted and odd navy linen jackets.

On the accommodation front I think its best for me to find a shared apartment which may turn out better for making friends. There seem to be rooms available in 2 bedroom apartments going for $8000hk/month which is probably my best bet. They are around Wanchai and Sheunwan too which will be close to work but not too keen on the noise.
I have enquired on some ads for Tseun Kwan O which is woop woop by hk standards but is still only 30 minutes to Central station. One of them is $7500 all inclusive with gym facilities and an amazing view. But the current tenant prefer a female so I probably won't get it.

Back on to the topic of watches again for a moment, I just read that Seiko has opened a store in Sydney:

Sorry, all I saw was this.

Fantastic, this new thread wasn't really official until Foxy had posted a link to sell shoes that didn't fit him.

Yes, many parts of the US are still deeply, deeply conservative.

Dare to feature an interview with a feminist who favours legal access to abortion and all of a sudden multiple organisations are threatening to boycott you...

I am a bit of a fence sitter on the topic of abortion. It is really not that clear cut as the 2 extremes would like to lead you to believe. Ethics is a ***** of a topic to tackle with everything.

Are you on the fence when it comes to the age old question of whether to topy or not to topy?

No. I'm a Topy progressive. The marriage of rubber on leather is fine by me.

Huh? Since when did we start talking about condoms?

Could you shoe advertisers please get your sh*t together and advertise shoes in the correct size - 10.5UK? Thank you.

PS. Anybody getting in on the Epaulet Massdrop offer? I figure they are about $AU250 shipped; not so bad. I like the white alabaster, but two things are holding me back. First is they look like a b*tch to keep clean. Second is that my Epaulet trainers are very tight on me. Their 11US/44.5 should fit my 105UK/45 feet pretty well, but their standard width seems quite narrow. I'm reluctant to size up to a 12 and run the risk of them still being too narrow.

While we're on the topic of eBay auctions, I've got some shoes for sale here and here. Ta!

How do you find the quality of L'Bardi driving shoes? On par with Tods (if you've had Tods or Miserocchi)?

Interesting I'm a UK 10 in all shoes but with Adidas trainers I'm a 12 or even a 13. My regular gym shoes, Asic are 12. Prior to about a year ago I was an 11US in most brands. Go figure.
