Who made the button-down in picture 2?

It's a knock off of a Borrelli two button collar BD made for me by Hemrajani (mytailor).
I'll post mine tonight. Took tie pictures this morning. I am less concerned with seasonality than some. Color is most important; if the color is right, for me, a linen tie can be F/W.

I wonder if this is partly due to the climates you've lived in. I assume that being in TX, your fall/winter picks will look different from mine given warmer temperatures.

@sugarbutch

Yes! Nice, lots of knits and a pair of bow ties as well. Looking forward to the fit pics.

@sugarbutch if you don't mind me asking...where are the bow ties from?

Except South Korea has distinct seasons and it didn't bother me there. I wasn't wearing linen suits in the winter mind you (and don't really do it in Texas, though I might start here pretty soon).

While we're waiting (reducing to 10/5 is hard), @sugarbutch 's tie pics made (a) knits and (b) silk more salient in my mind. I'd happily swapped a pointed blue knit for my blue grenadine, partly to "de-rusticate" my choices.

To cheat a little on the rules (and in the interest of providing more pics), an alternative to my copper herringbone tweed would be something in silk (too blue AM light):

Anyway, @Claghorn next?

Luca is afraid you guys may be overthinking it a little...

"... I forced myself to keep wearing different ties. And I finally understood that you can wear any tie with any jacket. The thing is that you have to be comfortable with wearing it..."

Well, this is Style Forum right?

Of course, and I believe that Luca was exaggerating. Though there is of course the suggestion that overthinking and style may be mutually exclusive.

I doubt that's true. Overthinking and effortless style, maybe. Anyway, these are topics for the Lounge. Want to raise them there?

Yeah that's a better idea, sorry. Didn't mean to disrupt the thread. Please carry on...

I confess I don’t love the madder as much as the other ties, but I do like it better when combined with the jacket—one measure, in my opinion, of the success of the combination. Kudos.

Cheers,

Ac

@Academic2

I think you meant the green medallion of mine? I grant that it isn't so versatile, but I think there should be a a couple of madders in one's F/W set of 10 and certainly in a wool-heavy set like mine. This is my only one thus far though likely not the last.
