@cezinho what are the cloths on these two coats? I really like the texture on the blue, and the tweed is wonderful!
I believe we'll get a few more contributions in the near future
I forgot about
in the last list but I believe at least
@lordsuperb will contribute as well. I will perhaps have a few more announcements, but again, if you've been reading along and have been inspired to post, you are warmly invited to do so.
Previous posters are welcome to invite others as well.
Great, please do. And given where you live (I think in the Middle East?) specific F/W selections suited to that climate/environment is useful too.
One of the most valuable and productive threads on SF (for me, at least). Thanks for organizing, @TweedyProf.
I only recently started skewing the wardrobe toward a more "trad" aesthetic, so when I am more confident with my collection, I will join in the fun.
Some killer style, gentlemen. Always looking for inspiration and this thread is marvelous.
Thanks @sacafotos whenever you feel ready, do contribute.
We do have some folks who I think will make posts, so this ping will be a reminder that we eagerly await their thoughts.
I continue to also invite and might have further announcements in the future. Again, I invite any current posters to themselves feel free to invite others.
I hope you do not mind that I post my selection while we are waiting for further contributors. I tried to stick to autumn-winter gear and sport coats only.
1: Navy flannel jacket (Stile Latino)
Ties: green-blue silk knit (Ascot), grey wool POW (HNWhite), red madder (Vanda)
2. Beige herringbone SherryTweed (Orazio Luciano)
Ties: aubergine silk neat (Shibumi), madder silk (Cappelli), grey POW (again)
3. Grey glen flannel with brownish overcheck (Orazio Luciano)
Ties: navy Shantung (Shibumi) - I see that I need a plain navy wool tie, brown wool challis (Vanda)
4. Blue windowpane flannel (Orazio Luciano) - alternatively I am planning a Fox navy windowpane flannel
Ties: brown spotted wool grenadine (Shibumi), madder silk (again), green-blue silk knit (again), orange wool (Hober)
5. Dark brown donegalesk wool (Caruso)
Ties: Navy neat (Cappelli), orange wool (again - never tried this combination)
To summarize on the ties:
3 brown (challis, madder, wool grenadine)
3 blue (navy wool TBD, navy neat, aubergine neat)
2 red (red madder, orange wool)
1 green (silk knit) - I have more green ties, but I am missing a suitable green wool color for this set
1 grey (wool pow)
