My new Home Theater is open! - Page 2

For speakers I can recommend Teufel (www.teufel.de), a german company which has specialized in high quality spaekers for very very low prices. They sell directly via their homepage... so I really cannot tell if their products ship outside of germany But it could be really worth it to pay for the shipping if they do! A buddy of mine bought their cheapest 5.1 set available at the time for 100€ (150$), and it sounds awesome! they also keep getting prices from magazines and such all the time for all their systems

Why didn't you get the big one?

You have a 50" TV in your library? I find it funny, ironic and very american.

AF, not to be a prick but after seeing your 2 channel audio set up, I expected a bit more out of the home theater. This seems like John Doe's living room set-up. The TV seems a bit small and having less than 5 speakers in a theater set-up is somewhat weak. What TV is that? You says it's rear projection but I assume it's DLP. Also, by 1080p you mean the BluRay player only as the satellite receiver is not 1080p. God, the internet makes it too easy to be a hater

Actually in order to be a true hater you have to know WTF you are talking about, starting with the fact that Sony doesn't make DLP's...! Also by 1080P he means the TV's native display format.

I don't know where the other thread is, but I'm gettin' an LCD! 32" of HD power, baby! And I'm pretty sure the guy said something about 1080P...

Wait, so the Home Theater room is not the same as the Media Room?

When I go to a theater I enjoy the company of strangers as they provide the love and light to the screen just as players on the stage. Putting a theater in the home is like planting a tree in the cupboard or painting a picture inside a vacuum canister.

Jon, did you cut yourself this morning while shaving your nipples? Why so much hate?

Yes, Sony does not make DLP's (did you notice where I asked the brand as I could not make it out on my work monitor?), their engine is sXRD or whatever which is basically the same thing.

I think for Xmas I am going to get you a nice industrial size tub of shaving cream.

I thank you to not compare me to Conne...speaking of which after he brushes his teeth in the morning does he still floss with your pubic hairs? Why I was apprised of that tidbit of information I shall never know, but I'm frankly worried about the health aspects of such an activity.

Jon.
