Morning all, after years of not being able to find a set of cufflinks I really liked, I found that bought off the shelf cufflinks were kind of "Meh" I then set out to make my own. the first set I made from some old bullet casings. after wearing them to a function they became an instant hit and I was asked to make them by colleagues. because of the nature of our group the cufflinks became a must have item when at functions and was frowned upon not to wear them. I made quite a few sets and honed my craft. After many attempts I crafted a pair that will be the only set I will wear. whenever I wear them they always get complemented.
The bullet warhead and casing were found in a battlefield in France. I had the cufflinks chromed plated by a friend to give them a longer life due to polishing (I did lacquer them with a protective coating but it was not the best of finishes).
I have had them now, over twelve years and they are still going strong.
Everyone has their own preference with cufflinks whether its a set from a Christmas cracker, a loved one or Jacob & Co.

Interesting that you have a spent primer paired with an unused bullet.

The other one is a hand made silver and gold.
