Yes cream is very nice (have the Cream Circles in kimono silk too). Though I wouldn't call either wool or kimono silk seasonal. They wear well -- as does linen -- in both warm and cool weather. For pocket squares, I think it has more to do with colorway and design.

Agreed. I was speaking more in generalities, at least as pertains to pure wool. That said, knowing the lightness of Vanda's work, I have no doubt the seasonality would extend beyond the cooler months.

More recent Vandas:

Indigo Matka tie

Royal Blue Flowers PS

(as usual, non-Vanda is Gitman, Lubiam, and Hertling for Epaulet)

H/T to @jcmeyer@PCK1, and @Simplicio for convincing me to go Matka. Glad I did.

i have both the mint flowers and the cream waves....

i find myself opting for the mint flowers more and more frequently. absolutely love that square.

I have come to add more praise for the pink hopsack. Absolutely the perfect shade of pink.

Going for the corset look? Your lapels are also too skinny, though that's slightly more forgiveable than the overly-suppressed waists. I love Vanda, but this just goes to show that you can buy $100+ ties and still look bad.

Those new ties are gorgeous, especially the prints.

Rather infra dig to launch an ad hominem attack in this thread. It's not a fit thread. It's an affiliate thread paid for by the artisans.

Considering this is your 3rd post on SF you might consider dialing back the condemnation. I'd recommend more reading and less posting.

An ad hominem is an attack on a person's character. I don't believe I did that.
Your remark was rather predictable and cliche--that I'm "new", ergo my posts aren't valid. But really, am I wrong about the dude's jacket? peepwall[1].gif

Finally, as for your "more reading, less posting" comment... I have a grand total of 4 posts in over 3 months.

It's a bloody photo, and we all know the slightest hunch can exaggerate the slightest of flaws.

bebop-D is right anyway - go to the fit threads if you need to lecture people on fit.

There is something to be said for tact. If you do feel compelled to offer for advice, why not at least attempt to make it constructive, rather than being a total douche about it?

Yes, the jacket is snug, but the idea that the fit is horrible solely because of that is a bit silly.

In any event, this is a thread for Vanda gear, which both look pretty legit from what I can tell. I personally don't give a shite about the non-Vanda facets of the fit, style, fit, lapel width or otherwise...

This.

And also FWIW, though not on this thread, the OP did mention he had hunched over significantly while taking the photo, causing the above mentioned issues.....
Now, back on topic......

I was just at Vanda's place yesterday, and man, for those who had got in on the "black-white silk houndstooth" that sold out like, instantly ..... geez ....... I saw the remnant scrap cloth that was leftover, and it looked and felt incredible.... totally regretting not getting it!

Also managed to score this

Shit was yesterday the seconds sale?
I am so jealous of everyone that gets to go in person to shop it.

You're quite wrong. Your Latin teacher has let you down: ad = toward or at, hominem = accusative singular of homo meaning man.

There's nothing about character. It means a personal attack.
