Engineered Garments SS 16 - Page 49

Are the removable buttons a big deal?  I'm just starting to invest into EG clothing and picked up a new olive ripstop Bedford... sounds like the buttons won't be removable?

I have removable buttons and I haven't removed them in years, I wouldn't worry about it.

Anyone own the SS15 olive ripstop bedford and the SS16 olive ripstop bedford and can speak to their differences? I did some reading and the only difference seems to be the removable buttons on the SS15 version.

Second question: If I can get the SS15 version for a little cheaper than the SS16 version from grailed, is it worth going for? Or should I just buy the newer one?

Thanks!!

SS16 also has a center seam down the back, SS15 does not.

particularly concerned after my poor experience with a pair of cashmere/wool blend cinch pants (ripped in the crotch after a few wears, and ripped again right after a repair by NNY - I sadly tossed them in the bin a few weeks ago).

point is: the TW cinch pants are SUPER thin and I'm worried about ripping them too (note, they fit reasonably "loose" not at all tight on me, but not baggy, either)...can anyone with experience tell me how their pair has lasted, how you care for them? has anyone had a liner sewn in the crotch to take some of the wear?

many thanks, all!

bump...anyone? :-)

How do the banded collar shirts fit in comparison to other EG shirts? I've owned the Work Shirts, 19th Century, and Chauncey. High side vents too?

EG's shirting is all over the place this season. Sizing varies between styles as well as fabrics within the same style. I've had to try on both a small and medium for everything I've gotten this season:

Banded Collar Shirt - Chambray: S

Work Shirt - Big Plaid (all 3 fabrics): M

Work Shirt - Olive Poplin: M

Short Collar Shirt - Floral Lawn: S

Rounded Collar Shirt - 100s 2ply Broadcloth: M

Compared to other shirts, the work shirts have higher side vents, a shorter body, and narrower shoulders. A small fits me in the chest, but it's a little too short for my liking, so I sized up to a medium for a looser fit, which I tend to prefer. If I went with a small for anything, it was because a medium was gigantic on me.

EG shirt sizing has been a consistent source of frustration for me season to season. Less so with things like outerwear and trousers.

Hey everyone, this Memorial Day Weekend we are having our usual flash sale for 30% off EG. Our MDW sale will begin tomorrow (5/27/16) when we open at 10:00 AM EST and run through when we close on Saturday (5/28/16) at 6 PM EST. Sale items are final sale, and shipping is not included. Because I will not be in this weekend to help lighten the load, we strongly recommend that you call the store (if able) to place orders or ask any questions -- We tend to get a lot of inquiries during these flash sales, so PMs and emails might unfortunately receive slower responses depending on how busy we get. We can be reached by phone at (617) 547-2067, via PM @Drinkwaters (Gary), or you can also email gary@drinkwaterscambridge.com.

Please note: Pricing information can be found beneath each image. $Retail > $Sale Price. Some sizes may be unavailable.

We hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!
