Just listed- SULKA Jacket, "Midnight", Epaulettes, Large - Page 2

There is nothing between the lining and the jacket. It's a half-lining...which only comes down halfway, and typical for this type of "shirt" jacket, the rest of the inside of the jacket is intentionally "unfinished" (including the area underneath the lining).

In addition, I think you can see in this photo that the bottom edge of the lining has been finished off in the same sheepskin leather trim that was used throughout the jacket. Other than the lining being strategically tacked down under the armpits...and of course around the inside pocket, the lining is not sewn or tacked down in any way to the inside of the jacket (you can simply lift up the lining and look underneath).

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, this was given to me a number of years ago as a gift. That was probably about 7 years ago. I have no idea what it cost (obviously I know that it was expensive). At the time that I received it I did not ask "How much was it?"

I very much enjoyed telling the story about my grandfather. I believe that's the first time I ever spoke about any of that, other than what I've shared with my immediate family. He was a very cool guy. Way ahead of his time. I think he'd get a kick out of all this.

apologies, I didn't realize it was gift. My dad, like your grandfather, was a good dresser. I never really cared about clothing and he was never happy about it. He had a great shoe collection. I've told the story elsewhere in this forum where about 7 months ago, we took the kids to the old neighborhood in brooklyn. On the way to our favorite pizza shop, we passed a women sellng junk on the street. I looked down as we passed and spied 3 sets of shoe bags. The first two were c&js and the last a pair of lobbs. $10/per pair and they were mine. When the c&js fit, I figured it must have been my dad hand from heaven.

Sorry you missed it.

For what it's worth, I think the jacket may have found a good home.
