Lol. I am not ganging up on RTP here (a scholar and a gentleman) but "this is too good to spoiler" has definitely become the new "I am not going to spoiler". Guilty here myself. Let's just acknowledge the truth.

I will try to modify my behavior here friends.  Thank you for the kind words @budapest12. I love this place! :D

Alden for Epaulet - Alpine Grain Taunton Captoe. These boots run a little tighter than some of my other barrie lasted boots. I'm guessing the leather isn't as forgiving. They took forever to break in, but now they're some of my favorites. Don't have to worry about these bad larry's in snow/rain.

Truth. And too good to spoil.

eh, mistake for them to move the "sloat" style to the barrie from the trubalance. trubalance is just so good on so many levels....

I just join the cordovan game in 2013.
How can AE collect 1000piece cigar shell cordovan in 2012 and release the 1000pairs 744ltd for wolverine?
Maybe rare colour cordovan shoes is easy to buy before 2013?

Alden Indy Sizing Help please

I read the sizing information posted in this Reddit thread as well as various StyleForum and AAAC threads, which most recommend sizing down 1/2

https://www.reddit.com/r/goodyearwelt/comments/40ears/alden_indy_403s_a_year_of_use_a_review_xpost_from/cytmsiy

I'm debating between whether I should go 1/2 a size down or a full size down from Brannock. I measured my foot using a Brannock device and found that I was a 8.5 D/E. Not sure how accurate it was, but what I did was set up the Brannock and place my foot on the device and stood up. Then I got off it and checked to see what it was.

When I tried the boots on, I was wearing Darn Tough Full Cushion Hiking socks. I tried on both a 7.5D and 8D. Both felt snug, but not something I would identify as uncomfortable. My first reaction when I tried on the 7.5D was "these are tight", but I didn't think they were uncomfortable. I have a low arch, a sort of wide forefoot, and a narrow heel.

I was looking to buy the Innsbruck Indy from Epaulet and they don't allow for returns.

I took some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/WVmHi

The first picture is with a size 7.5D. I didn't pull the laces snug, but the boot itself felt "tight". I'm not sure if it's because I'm not used to it, but it wasn't uncomfortable. Heel did not slip

The 2nd and 3rd pictures are with 8D with the laces pulled tight. Heel did not slip either. It was also less snug all around relative to 7.5D, but still felt good. My finger is pointing to where one of the widest part of my feet

The 4th picture is me wearing my friend's broken in size 8E. I experience heel slip. Boot does not feel snug all around. Laces are tightened as much as possible. My foot slides forward when I walk wearing it. Heel wiggles side to side

I can provide measurements of my foot if it can help with recommendations. Thank you!

I think 8D would work well for you.

They looked amazing, but were just too big, so I sold to a forum member who was unhappy with missing his size in yet another round for that model.

I happened to be looking at their site just now and they had my size in stock! I couldn't believe it. I ordered it and called the store to see if it was a return and if there was an issue with them, and it turns out whomever ordered the 11.5 on the pre-order just didn't go through with it so they've just been sitting there.

Rad!

Nice score. I was thinking about those 11.5's when I saw them announce the leftover stock on Instagram a few days ago. Enjoy them!

I ordered my first Alden which is the Ravello LWB back in 2011 in Alden SF. During that time, I could simply buy the rare shell on their website and plently of sizes in Whiskey/Ravello/Cigar for both PTB and LWB. So you get the idea.
