since we're talking reverse chamois - I've decided that for my casual boots I really prefer the TB last. So I have a few things on the Barrie I'll probably be putting on B&S, one being B&M's reverse tobacco chamois WT Boot (10D). If you're interested, reach out...

I have my first pair of Alden boots on the way on the TB. And I do have a pair of #8 shell medallion bluchers(Alt Wein) on Barrie.

Out of curiosity, why isn't a Barrie last good with you for a boot.

As an owner of many pairs of Viberg boots on the 110 last I think I have an idea but I'd like to hear.

Thanks!

The Barrie actually works fine for me. I have boots and shoes on the barrie and for the most part I'm very happy with them. Once in a while I'll get a pair where the right foot is a little tight across the vamp, but its usually not an issue.

I've just realized that on the weekends I reach for Indys and other casual boots on the Trubalance, so why keep a pair that isn't getting much love?

I was at a store in Athens that carries Alden chatting to the owner ,who told me about a shell briefcase given to him from Alden 20 yrs ago.
And of course I asked him to bring it for a photo to be posted on the forum.
Really is extremely heavy. Don't think they make them anymore.

I love the snuff wingtip boots. Can't get enough of the photos! Hopefully I'll get my own pair next year at some point.

I see.  Those are the ones you have to wait a year for.  That stinks.  I have to be honest one of the reasons I stopped buying Panerai Special Edition watches was due to the wait game and the "you have to be lucky to get one" and get put on a waiting list that you might or might not get a call for.  Very stressful.  I was tired of the game, better ways to spend my money.  I am not going to do that for a shoe no matter who the manufacturer is, there are too many other shoes out there you can get now and new models rolling out everyday.  By the time a year goes by I may not want it anyways.....Now if its available now or in let's say 2 months...different matter.  I do applaud those of you that have patience to wait!
