Glad to see the heavy hitters and veterans still at it (good to see Mdubs and DV and Repp and Sazon still here). Fun seeing the young guns like Jettasy owning it. Overall, I'm glad to see the welcoming and convivial atmosphere I enjoyed so much still at play. Hope you all are wearing your Aldens in good health!

Btw, black shell is underrated. My newest acquisition: Context Tanker boots in black

good to see you as well!!

I'm also wearing my black context tankers today. Never cared for black but these have become a frequent go-to !

I agree about sending these ones back. I'm usually pretty easy going when it comes to defects and what not but this just looks horrible.

I've seen this a few times in natural CXL and to me it always appears that somebody at the factory turned the leather the wrong way when they were cutting the pieces for the shoes and that makes the grain look elongated and like it's going vertically where if it were the other way, it would still be noticeable but not nearly as disconcerting. I don't know if this makes any sense as I don't know if the "grain" on a piece of leather is similar to the "grain" of a piece of wood in this manner, but this is just how it feels in my mind.

I don't even know how that leather was turned into shoes, let alone firsts quality.

AoC used to have a page online with all preorders listed for them and BM. I'm not sure how to find it now because all I can see are the innatechiro photos when I go there.

That's the same reaction that my fiancee gives me. "How many pairs of brown shoes do you need?"

I went with the smooth earth chamois Norwegian boot from B&M. The subtle green tones really come out in natural light. I'm very happy with this decision. Thanks Yenni!
