Finally got over my fears and have been wearing my 4060's to work.  Noticed that I had a little thread hanging out and left it be thinking it was just a small tail that could be singed down but haven't done that yet.  Ordered a set of laces and went to swap today to see what I'm concerned is an issue.  I've had them since April, wore them a few hours indoors then to a wedding in May and probably 3 times a week since August in an office.  Some minor scuffs from my chair and how I cross my feet but finally starting to break in and see some depth in the color.  They do need cleaned up now as seen in the pics.

Really grinds me as I'm on pair #2 from another maker that haven't been right outta the box, three times now.

My Innsbruck Indy boots from Epaulet. These boots are the exact configuration I was looking for in an Indy. Brown CXL, Commando Sole, Hooks (the stained welt and brass eyelets are a nice bonus). I was fortunate enough to work just blocks from Brick and Mortar in Seattle, so I was able to get properly sized in person (TruBalance 9, Brannock 10). Unfortunately Brick and Mortar didn't have my size in an Indy with Commando Sole at the time, but they were kind enough to help size me anyway. THANKS!
Lucky for me Epaulet had one more 9 in their Innsbruck build. I'm thrilled. Here is is...

That brown Plaza cap toe looks great. Someone should make that in Ravello (if Ravello ever becomes available again...).

That boot is being made in a burnished tan, which looks really nice, if you're looking for the ravello look. Check it out:

Hey guys, I've gone overboard with boot purchases over the last few months, so I've decided to let some go including my recently acquired Bristol Boot from Leffot. As a heads up, I just listed these in B&S if anyone is a size 8d and interested: http://www.styleforum.net/t/529189/bnib-alden-x-leffot-bristol-boot-natural-cxl-wingtip-size-8d-plaza-last. :)

I found this pair on e-bay and was wondering how rare this specific pair would be and whether or not this was in the ball park of a fair price. I like the boots a lot but am having a hard time justifying the price considering I could get much better craftsmanship for the price. Also, does anyone have this specific pair?

The Daytripper was the first Alden model where I immediately said, "I have to have a pair."  The Leffot photographs were amazing, and actual boot is no less so.  My feeling about the price is that for those of us who spend upwards of $800, list, for a pair of shoes, double that for a coveted makeup sounds pretty reasonable.  There are couple of pairs that may not be released soon or ever that I would pay this amount for.  Finding them new is rarity on top of rarity, like those Cigar Plazas from Leather Souls that came up recently.

The only flaw in my Daytrippers was that one of the cap toes is quite a bit more "pebbled" than the other.  It's odd that that listing only shows the Leffot image, and none of the actual boot.  I would request those before throwing down.

Good luck.  If you are wearing those in ten years, you'll not regret the premium you paid.

Unless they were a pair of Ravello Indy boots, I wouldn't go past 1k on any Alden shell.

Any predictions on how much those LS cigar boots will end at?

Talk about underrated!  I have the 9015 (color 8) and love it.  Stock models can be just as great (or even better than) our so-called exotic grails.  Enjoy your perf ct bals often, and in the best of health my friend!

You're right, they do look great in burnished tan! Still want them in Ravello. 🙂 Doubt they'll be available in Ravello within the next five (or ten...) years, though.

For those of us who can't play 'Whiskey Wednesday' here's to WTB Wednesday!  (Although I'm anxiously awaiting my first two Whiskeys to arrive by year end -- been salivating over this color for nearly two years, will feel like I'm in the Big Leagues when they finally are here.)  I'm seriously debating switching out the hardware on this stock model from TSM for brass.
