Completely unacceptable.

Chiming in on this topic.  I've had the same thing happen to a pair of Indys myself.  Leather Soul sent me the paperwork to ship to Alden.

They tore the boots apart...fixed the issue and resoled.  the only obligation Alden has is to repair defects.  If they decide to replace thats cool, but

unless there's an issue different than mine...they are repairable...for free.  It would be different on a new pair only worn a few times.

Hey guys,

Innsbruck Indy's just arrived! We've got 13 preorder customers to email later today. And I've got some open stock available: there's one unit per size, except for two units of 9.5 and two units of 11.5. This is most likely our only delivery of the season for this style. Posting it here so you guys see it before it's emailed out. The deets are: Brown CXL upper, bright brass eyes & hooks, commando sole, Tru-Balance last

ALDEN FOR EPAULET INNSBRUCK INDY: $585

We got two sizes in the batch that we didn't anticipate as well: a 6D and an 11E. So if these are your sizes, we've got them ready to go!

Just showed up on Ebay the AoC Color #2 LWB in 10.5D. $888 starding bid, $1888 Buy it Now.

Seriously, if these were a size 10.5E, I'd be having a very, very serious question with my wallet right now. So close to my size. Sooooo close.

Hey guys, hope you can offer me some advice here - I put these shoes up on the bay last night and there is a flurry of interest in them. I thought they were pretty standard shell boots, but then I got this message :

Made in 07
Cigar shell (olive tones)
#__ of 18

You can find the pair number printed on the inside of the shoes. The last 2 digits on the top line indicate the pair #. Alden folklore believes 18 - 24 were made, and pretty much sold only to Tom's inner circle at leather soul. Most (all) going to Asia.

Are these really some kind of super secret limited edition thing? (genuinely asking, not spamming!)

its the more popular shade of cigar shell combined with the less commonly used plaza last which makes it unique. a nice find for an Alden fan.

Once I got over the ZOMG #2 LWB! I realized...I don't find these particularly attractive. Maybe my addiction for rare shell has crested.

Also, did mdubs wear the same pair of socks two days in arow? mwink[1].gif

Wow yeah, half size smaller and I'd be on these. Almost tempted to try and make them work but it's a fools errand I've learned.
