Mike, those have darkened substantially, haven't they? Mine (unused) are still a raw, light shade.

I'm a 8.5 Barrie/Trubalance, 9 plaza. Would a 8.5/9 be the right size for these EG lasts?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, at least to start.

Beware the widths. Green's philosophy is that their shoes should fit snugly in width- like a slipper. Snugger than most Americans are used to. So no translation in widths is necessary. That is of course different than (all?) other British makers. For example, a C&J E equals an American D.

Proof of this you say? The sizing written inside the shoes shows two lengths but only one width.

These C&Js are so nice. I would consider trading my Whiskey LHS for these in the right shade. Edward Green has started to do a lot in whiskey as well. Alden really should start delivering their Ravello and Whiskey rare shells...

Seems to be typical...my Indys had some of the worst stitching I've ever seen on a shoe or boot.

Hello,

My #8 LWB and I will break in soon.

First time out with the new 3 mm black flat laces. I think this is a nice change from the small burgundy laces that came with the shoes. In case you choose to get some, you should order the 75 cm length (29.5 inches). You can find them by clicking here

Beautiful. I like that the shade of color 8 is a bit lighter than the almost-black version I have.
