Got a bit of rain today, so it was fairly cool out compared to what it has been. So I got a chance to wear these guys. First real wear outside, super comfortable out of the box. So glad I picked these up. Swapped out the cotton laces for some flat waxed brown laces.

Currently own 2:

Navy suede Dover

Hunting green reverse chamois WTB

Cigar LWB is my grail.

4060s and an Indy boot- natty CXL or tobacco chamois, don't know- are also definite in the future.

Sometimes I want to go crazy, other times I want to keep it small, but in any case I really enjoy following the Alden world.

I think im at 28 pair, 20-21 in shell. Two cxl, one country grain (not sure the leather), one reverse chamois and two snuff suede.

Have 2-3 C&J pair on preorder that will fill out a couple pair that I'll likely never see from alden, and then I'm done. Maybe some tan loafers after seeing a pair posted over in the EP thread last week.

Congratulations on your friends marriage. I hope that they have many happy years together. The patents are looking great and am sure it looked great with your suit/tux.
I frankly have no clue off the top of my head. I have a list though. Too many obviously. :-)

I am mainly Alden's now, have probably 8 Allen Edmonds still, 2 C&J's, 3 Epaulet Shell Sneakers, and a pair of Vibergs. I want a Shell Galway someday as well.

-Mike

Yes Mike, they are from the last last. Thanks for your advise and Ed is super guy!

My old dogs as its hot today.. BB Unilned '12 that are very close to resole. I would like to do them antique welt but don't really know who does the best work on Alden resoling using Van last.

Can't wait to breakout the backup pair that's been sitting in the closet for a long time. They are old lighter #8 with dark straps. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Your Color 8 LHSes are looking very good Chippy! Hope that you are keeping somewhat cool!

That's a really nice looking Indy Boot. I think that you made a wise decision with the lace swap.
