Anyone know of a similar boot to the Alden Black Trapper at lost & found? Confirmed that they don't have stock in my size 8.5D.

Key points that I'm looking for are black, commando sole, cap toe, in anything but cordovan.

Some digging reveals that 4480 is the #8 wingtip boot with all eyelets on Aberdeen. The typical Alden approach of adding a 1 to the end (or changing the 0 to a 1) would yield 4481, which would suggest these are black shell on Aberdeen. That's the exact makeup I am looking for (all eyelets, Aberdeen, black shell)...

Gotta figure out who makes it. Let me know what's on the heel pad, if anything.

Unfortunately they're at the cobbler (picking them up tomorrow), but I'll check the heel for sure. The stats per TSM were Black Shell on Grant however!

Very nice and would love to seem more pics! I was drooling over the LWB and Medallion Tip Yenni carries in the same tan country grain.

To be honest, I would keep three - color 8 Indy (IMO, a color 8 or cigar Indy is a must own), one of the Ironside/Vintage and one of the Ultimate/Innsbruck.

I know people love Color 4, but for my money the rest of your collection is much more wearable. If you must keep the Color 4, go ahead. You already have substitutes for almost all of the other boots you have.

Is it going to render your Snuff chukka's to the never worn category? Only reason I ask is that I have a pair of Carmina Snuff/brown color cap toe boots and between my Alden X Brooks suede boot on crepe and my AE Gobi suede chukka..I do not seem to reach for the Carmina's....and from a pure build quality if you put all three next to each other your eye goes to the Carmina...yet still for some reason I just do not reach for it.
