I saw a photo of the Whiskey NST boots from Leffot on Instagram yesterday and had my mind blown away. I'm sure Leffot did that order for their best customers, but it is now officially my grail. There seems to be a lot of whiskey out there at the moment and before that a good amount of cigar. Has ravello become the rarest now?

In general, Whiskey boots are rarer than Ravello boots. That said, Alden hasn't had a production run of Ravello since early 2015, whereas they produced several batches of Whiskey since then. Right now, Ravello is rarer than Whiskey, but that may all change in the next 6-12 months when (hopefully) Alden confirms the next batch of Ravello orders (I think their backlog is 2+ years on Ravello, now).

It seems that way. I got my last (any only) pair of ravello boots in spring 2015. I had an order of ravello LWB from AoM postponed indefinitely. This was an order from spring 2014. Hopefully some Ravello blesses us soon.

Heel slippage is normal for a stiff soled shoe or boot.  As the sole starts to flex the heel slippage will stop. You can help the process by flexing the shoe with your hands.

Hi Guys,

One quick question about the BB unlined LHS, I know from past experience with the Shell and suede Dovers that they fit snugger than lined PTB's, is it the same case with the BB loafers do they fit snugger than the lined Std LHS??

Thanks,

We will be there in about a month......can't wait!

bbombers; that bufala mozzarella pizza is something else. how did they build all those homes? i was thinking the same thing, where's the home depot?

peppercorn; thank you. unfortunately, we did not get to see the music festival. i'll have to plan that out better next time.

atlvol; that's awesome. you're going to have a blast. i lucked out, my wife picked the amalfi coast. all i had to do was add a quick detour to ravello. she ended up liking it a lot.
