The saddles which are the current topic of discussion are whiskey NST bluchers from Alden on Madison. They looked pretty slick. I saw the email a day after it came out lol.

Awesome Don! I concur that this classic Alden should be in our closets.

Oh man .. Sorry for the quickest edit.. socks are Nike thick athletic to see if these are going to fly up in the mountains this Fall.

Looking good in your new "Indy" NSTs. Looks good with the antique edge.

These are all, basically, my style. Obviously missing is anything in Ravello, whiskey, or cigar. What should I add (besides the entire Alden collection)?

Very nice Chris! A pretty good collection of Aldens going on right there. It is interesting to see how you favor loafers. I love them to, but it is not too common here.

Details of the design:
Color 8 Shell Cordovan
Plaza last
Monkstrap with handstitched NST front
Beige color stitching
Silver buckle
Antique edge
Flat 270 welt
Single leather sole

This photo was photoshopped to reflect the color 8 shell color, please note this particular pair is on the Hampton last, whereas the group order will be on plaza

This is what the NST front will look like on the plaza last
  Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

This is a plaza lasted monstrap, our design will add the NST front

Details:
  • This order will be through a trustworthy and reputable Alden retailer, the design was approved by Alden
  • We will need a total of 12 pairs for the order to go through, so far we have 4/12
  • Most people size the plaza last TTS, we will likely order 3 widths: B, D, and E (though more widths may be possible)
  • Final price is unknown at this point but should be inline with current color 8 shell prices. Payment will likely be $200 deposit with balance of payment upon delivery
  • International shipping is possible
  • As you all know, delivery time is unknown- the hand stitching component will likely add to the production time
  • Design is final as it's already been vetted by Alden

Please feel free to post or PM me with any questions!

Dan

Thanks for helping to organize this Dan. Looking good!

I have a pair of 9.5D Grant lasted #8 cap toe boots that fit quite nice, but which I almost never wear. Let me know if you are interested. They are from Alden DC so they have speed hooks and a commando sole. It's a really nice makeup but since acquiring Cigar cap toes I almost never wear them.

Interesting sizing range, but it sort of makes sense. The 4060HCs are great! :-)

Interesting how much those have lightened bud. Have you worn them a lot?

Very nice looking Chukkas. Those are definitely beefier looking Chukka Boots.

The time stamp on my email was 3:06, time stamp on my email was 3:08, but no dice. I got the email at 3:06, but was reading it carefully to see what the instruction was before responding. 😣

Hi everyone, a quick bump for the color 8 NST monkstrap order. The response has been great and we are up to 11/12! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

We only need one more to complete the order, but more couldn't hurt. I'd like to get this order closed ASAP and off to production!

Feel free to PM me with questions/concerns, if you are committed then please include your name, plaza size, and best email in a PM to me.

The King today

Hi everyone!  First post here.  I found some Alden shoes on sale at Kafka.  I was able to pick up Cordovan Long Wing Blucher for 362GBP ($535) shipped to the U.S. after joining the site and using code PATRONPRE.  Not a great selection, but there are definitely some good options on there.  Seemed like a pretty good deal so I wanted to pass it along.

EDIT: According to an earlier post in this thread, the shoes are a US width E even though it is not listed.
