In my experience, since they need new soles, you could probably get about $50-60 if you are fortunate. It would be better of they were shell, but they appear to be calf. If they were resoled at the factory it would be $160 plus the cost of the shoes. Then they would be worth about $200. So given the risk and cost, I would sell them "as is" and let the new owner elect to have the work done when and where they choose. In short, you can do this but there is just not a great deal of room for any real profit for your time.

I would pass. It's exciting to find $500 Aldens at thrifts, but this particular pair will not yield a profit.
Calf, tassels, poor condition... Just too many strikes.
I've sold calf tassels in very good condition on eBay for around $125.

Looking great in your Indy Boots. Those are a cool makeup with the Suede Color, Natural Edges and Brass.

Interesting approach and execution.

You are pushing the boundaries here and it is a good thing. Congrats.

A few notes that may help make it more user friendly.

1. The normal computer browsing (non smartphone) experience is not good.

2. This may be better suited for an App.

3. There is nowhere (or terribly hard to find) to see the upcoming styles or in stock styles in one place. This was very valuable in the past.

4. Some different styles/stylists would be very valuable as well.

Best of luck.

All great and valid points, I *assume* that he will eventually merge this with his standard site and use Browser User Agents to direct the user to the respective appropriate site.

If I may get an opinion.. I am in the market of getting my first black shell boots and was curious as to what might be the most versatile model. I like the wingtip boot on commando and leffots Black naval boot come to mind. A black tanker could be nice as well. Thoughts?
