Ain't that the truth!!!!!!!

Ha! I was amazed at the conversation, too. We've come a long way in our relationship. smile.gif

Thanks for all the suggestions!

Good for you!!!

I supposed to have a pair in the same run too. However, mine was screwed during production and ended up as irregular and Alden decided they will not make another pair for me.

My heart bleeds everytime I see those boots...<img src=

That. Would be heart breaking. I understand the material is scarce, and maybe you'd have to wait another 6-12 months, or longer, but I'd hope they'd remake it at some point. Did you at least get a shot at the irregular or was it scrapped? I can't imagine if that happened to the few I've been waiting on for a long time.

Yes, that's heart breaking! Actually it's been more than a year and I still don't think TSM will do another run soon. Nope, I didn't get a shot at the irregular and I ended up seeing the irregular in a japan second hand shop selling at around USD1600 and of cuz I didn't buy it.

Yup, and if my memory serves correctly, it was sold at TSM as irregular for around $500

My softest shell boots so far, very comfortable.
Fantastic boots. Maybe my favorite Alden model.

I recall seeing a couple of posts in the past couple of weeks asking about shoe trees. Not as good as JosABank deals but BOGO at Woodlore on their full cedar shoe trees.

Quick question for all you shell experts.  I recently purchased a pair of Color #8 Alden LWB oxblood shell shoes.  They are extremely dark red where they look almost black unless in direct sunlight.  I really like this look and wanted to know if it is possible to keep the color this dark over time.  I know they tend to lighten up over time but am hoping I can keep them this dark using polish or something else.  Let me know if you think this would be possible.

My suggestion is not to expose them in sunlight when you are not wearing it as lighten up color 8 shell. Just use some Alden #8 wax or even some black wax to maintain it from time to time and I am sure you could keep the look.

Does anyone have any photos of Alden tan suede in the wild please (preferably the unlined chukka)? On some of the stock photos it looks very light indeed on some others it appears a darker tan. What are members views who have this shade and how does it compare with snuff which I have in the PTB. Thanks

Here is a suede family that I took a while ago. The V-tips are snuff and the PT boots are Tan, the color in this photo is pretty true to color.

IMHO, I think Snuff is much easier to pair with different outfits. Hope it helps!

Good morning all,

I'm looking for some advice. The other day on the train the woman in front of me was using a Tide ToGo pen on the cuff of her shirt, and of course, she dripped it right down the front of my new chromexel slip-on's. Is there a way to get this stain out or do I have to go buy another pair? Much appreciated if anyone has some advice.

Thank you,

-C
