I have the 2210 in #8 shell on Aberdeen. It fits very similarly to my Cigar shell wingtip bluchers on Hampton. I have some Hampton bals and Aberdeen bals as well, and they all fit rather similarly. I'd say Aberdeen is a tiny bit longer with a ever-so-slightly-narrower fit throughout than Hampton. You are safe to take the same size in Hampton and Aberdeen.

The 2210 is a classic shoe, one of Alden's finest. You can't go wrong with it. This is my pair:

Sweet! I am in definite shoe lust over these and feel myself caving in to peer pressure. Thanks.

Update: Boom!! Trigger pulled.

Leffot, only 1 run AFAIK. Yenni from Brick and Mortar has a Hunting Green suede LWB as well, if you are interested in a different material.

2210 is a classic design, the Aberdeen last is well made for this and accentuates the handstitching. I find the Aberdeen last to be just slightly narrower than the Hampton last, my feet also tend to sit more towards the heel on the Aberdeen last than Hampton. If the Hampton last isn't a very tight squeeze for you, then same size in Aberdeen should fit fine.

Here's the makeup. Still 2 pairs left if you hit the size lottery.

I am guilty of not posting my shoes on here except in rare circumstances. I just post to IG mainly. shog[1].gif

The right shoes has a much less noticable version of the issue, but the left shoe does not seem normal to me. Your thoughts?

As a follow up, I contacted the shoemart with these same pictures and I was asked to return them for inspection even though I had worn them on 4 occasions. They must have decided that the bulge was a defect as they received the shoes, inspected them and made an immediate refund. I shall now move on to another pair, but give them high marks for prompt and satisfying customer service.

JS01 those are fantastic cigar short wings! Anyone here have a pai of 2450's? Are they machine or hands stitched?

My thoughts as well. I still follow the thread fairly closely. Just don't post as much. However, since I'm here, here are a few recent pockups.

My first Unlined LHS. This is one comfortable shoe and my favorite loafer....

We are a business casual shop. I grabbed these from Yenni and they are my new workhorse. 1st experience with plaza.....

Grabbed these from Adam.....

There are some really exceptional Alden retailers but for my money, Yenni and Adam are the gold standard. When I'm just browsing for something new, theirs are always the first 2 sites I visit. In part because of their incredible makeups but also because of the phenomenal service.

Nice NST's! How did Adam choose the lucky 12 for that run!
Thanks. TBH, I really don't know. It seems like I've been in consistent contact with Adam over the past year or so simply because of how many shoes I've purchased from him. For me, it was during one of those interactions that he mentioned this was on the horizon. I just kind of stumbled onto it.

I'm sure they went to his loyal customers! I have a pair already, good to see some more being made!

I vote for the plain toe boot. Black CXL can develop an underrated sheen, and I think it would show off well on that model. I may actually get a pair myself as I need a black high boot.

I love the NST whiskey saddle.

On a related note, a lot of the Alden bros gave me some good ideas for purging this past winter.

Just wanted to update you guys on what I parted with. Overall, it’s been great passing on some models that I just don’t wear enough to some bros who could get some use out of them. I love collecting just as much as the next addict, but I’ve realized that having a closet full of shoes you just don’t get any use out of is pointless after a while (Gasp! Heresy!)

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still way over what a sane person would consider normal, but at least a little thinning has been done.

Over the past 4-5 months, my most worn styles have been: Color 8 Plaza Tanker (dark edge), Color 8 Barrie WT Boot, Color 8 Barrie Tanker (light edge), Black Shell Tanker, LS Ultimate Indy.

Off to new homes Since Dec 2015:

1. Alden 975 x leffot with antique edge & brass
2. Alden Black Shell Indy with brass
3. Alden x Leathersoul color 8 Shell Plaza wingtip boot
4. Alden x Leathersoul Vintage Indy
5. Alden x Epaulet Ironside Indy
6. Alden 990 PTB
7. Alden x B&M Regina grain LWB
8. Alden burnished tan WT boot
9. Alden snuff suede Indy
10. Alden x Supply&Advise Blue CXL Indy
11. Red Wing Heritage Copper R&T

I think I have 2-4 models to go...

We often have talked about trimming down our collections. I am actually at a point now where I rotate most of my shoes pretty evenly, so I have fewer extraneous models to sell. It took years of trial and error to get me there. For me, the formula was reinvesting in shoes that I can wear with suits (color 8 balmoral, whiskey monk, tan captoe on modified) while selling excess boots and bluchers. I've owned so many boots and bluchers, but new ones I purchased almost never got the wear my older ones did. I still have some gaps (black boot, cordovan LHS, etc) and I am on a few preorders, but I'm almost at the optimal collection for me.
