Just wow on all the posted whisky tanker boots and for those who were lucky to get on the AoM recent cigar run. Potential for rain here, so it felt like an ultimate Indy kind of day.

Generally speaking, how does the 'down a half size, up a width' strategy work out with Aldens?

Not so well for me. I tried a 9C in the Barrie - the heel to ball fit was too short, and going up a width didn't work - too wide overall.

For Suede Saturday, I am introducing my latest addition to my Suede family. Given the other recent addition to my Tanker family, this was opportune timing to showcase this boot... The ZennyBoot, more commonly known as the Choco Suede Tanker.

Ravello PCT before it gets too warm for these

I put my boots away today. It's 81 degrees, so it's handsewn/loafer season for me.

The Indys have held up well for a full season's worth of wear. I tried to log most of the miles I put on them and it's over 10 miles since last November. These are my first boots with commando soles and now I see what all the fuss is about - they are great for long walks through just about anything.

For some reason these show very little wear for the amount of use they've seen.

I hope everyone's weekend is going well, as always.

Thanks @tricky, they are awesome boots.

What's interesting is that I have a pair of J. Crew PCTs with a similar amount of wear, but they are definitely showing the miles. The Indys look new by comparison.

These are awesome, underrated color. 10 miles is like 3 wears though for us in New York!

Went by Broguethis morning and it's a little spartan, but a warm place. Steve from Alden was great, and Mack and his wife were a pleasure to meet.

They helped me get fitted in a couple different lasts and I ended up walking out with a pair of Indy boots. Additionally, as part of their grand opening, all shoe purchases come with a pair of Alden shoe trees.

I asked what other make ups they'd be getting and was told that they're making a list of customers and that their make ups would probably start around July.

All around, a good place that I'll be visiting again.

These are beautiful. They look great now and will look even better once you log 100 miles! Love the pictures, keep them coming.
