Perfect. I'll do the same.

Just noticed they have sizing for each pair. I'd never noticed that before. I just checked on some of my unworn Chups and sure enough they're labelled Medium. But this doesn't jive with the sizing advice as I'm 11 US.

Maybe I'll take some pics this weekend and see what happens.

Edit: Dunno...maybe I should see what I can get for them... they are shell after all.

For reference, I sold two pair of AE burgundy shell shoes a few years ago, Leeds/PTB, MacNeil/LWB. Both were worn 2-4 times a month for a couple of years. Signs of wear but solid soles, cared for like only one of us would do. Macneil sold for almost $300, Leeds for almost $200.

I still have two AE shell. MTO Leeds in cappuccino on double water lock and an LHS-like loafer in dark brown. The Leeds last fits me so perfectly and get a fair bit of wear. I've never found a loafer that worked well and these are no exception. So they'll probably get sold one day. I expect a $200 sale at best.

Definitely go for L. I wash mine cold and hang dry them but many of my size M Chups are a pain to put on after the first wash and I'm US 9.5D.

Cool....that probably explains why so many of mine are snug to get on and off!

FWIW, I sold all of my AE's besides a pair of walnut calf Strands that I'll use for beater work shoes (and probably my most complimented pair of shoes lol), but I had the most luck selling mine on eBay; even after you factor in the fees.

I had to resort to ebay for my 2 cappuccino shell pairs after they sat in the classifieds here forever! I was surprised after all the fuss that was being made at that time about capp. shell. I had even worse luck on ebay. Both pairs were brand new and after all was said and done I barely got back what I paid for ONE PAIR after selling both. It pains me to think about it.

I've seen a lot of suede Indy boots that I have liked recently. This one, both of the new AoC offerings, etc.

I need a summer boot.

How are the plantation crepe soles Alden uses in terms of wear? I can be pretty hard on soles, especially heal wear. Are they fairly durable and last a good period of time or will I burn through them like an eraser. Need supply put up some makes that I really like and they both use the plantation sole.
