get the light edge. you can always darken the welt and edge. you can lighten the edge, but not the welt.

Yes!! Managed to get on the list for Innsbruck Alt Wein at Epaulet! They showed sold out online but after a phone call and help from Sam I secured a slot!

Shoot Adam an email and he can pre-order your size. I put down a deposit for the antique edged version a couple weeks ago for their next run.

Looks like an Indy to me.  However, here is a suede Michigan boot - http://www.lakotahouse.com/journal/2015/10/alden-hunter-green-suede-michigan-boots.html

Jcrew and I think Frans Boone have plain toe snuff suede Michigan boots as well.

I still haven't since I have Color 8 tankers that already have an antique edge, so that helps differentiate these for me.

I can understand the sentiment. Those Leffot tankers are some of my favorites and keeping the dark edge on the 53s is probably the right choice. I have a picture of some AF53s saved on my computer and the sunned patina on them is outrageously pretty.

(not my picture )

This is a good point. The only thing is that with how dark color 8 have become its a bit more contrast than I want right now.

Thanks for the heads up! TB is probably the most comfortable last for my stupid feet. I want something clean and shell and these fit the bill perfectly.

@Disco Volante  this is an homage to your pics.

I have been playing with the lighting.

So I'm thinking of picking up a color 8 Indy boot. I'm torn between double leather sole (bureau Belfast) or commando sole (Alden of caramel). What's everyone's opinion? Both have antique edge and on trubalance.
