We need a new meme on this forum. I vote for "Damn, Mike"...

What a fantastic pair of boots.

Thanks. I didn't even know this was a makeup that anyone had ever done before I saw this pair. Kind of cool that Leffot has done the Atom in Cigar and #4.

I almost bought a pair in Tan Calf when they were on clearance at Leffot a few months ago, but wasn't sure of my size, as Leffot says to go down 1/2 size. Fortunately, I found out from this purchase that TTS is the way to go for me.

The want is strong with these (originally posted by patrick_b):

Beginning my search. Any pointers of whether these may be available somewhere in size 9 Barrie? The newer eggplant #8 and antique edge are must haves. S'pose I could order a pair with standard edge and antique them myself, but...

I was seeing which of my Alden's to wear out for Easter dinner this evening and decided to go with my favourite Alden slippers, Snuff Chukka's.
Low and behold I discovered this on the bottom of the right shoe.

Send it back to Alden for a repair and hope I get it back in time for summer or see if someone local can do the trick?  My only worry is that they won't be able to do the same sole as Alden does.
For reference these are about 5 years old and as you can see the heel's have been replaced on them once already.

Thoughts Alden brethren?

Thanks in advance.

That's funny the first thing I said too was "DOGS!!"

Seeing how those dogs are balled up on the bed and seeing some of their physical traits makes me think they could be Ridgebacks? Possibly one of them being "ridge-less"??

Being a Ridgeback owner, I've become familiar with Visla too. They look sooooo similar. If someone doesn't see the ridge on my dog, the first question is often "is that a Visla?"

Regardless of the breed, great looking friends you have there!

I believe those are from Need Supply. http://needsupply.com/thompson-plain-toe-blucher.html

They're out of stock, but you should inquire with them about whether they have another run coming in soon.

Plaza: https://leffot.com/shop/index.php/shoes/alden/44751h-bristol-boot.html

Aberdeen: http://www.alden-of-carmel.com/shoes-color-8-shell-cordovan-wing-tip-boot-antique-sole-edge-456.htm

In short, both work. It's personal preference, really. They're both elegant lasts.

I've got some of the better socks...but my size typically come in brown, blue and black...no patterns! There are lots of Alden retailers that never order over a size 12 to stock. Thanks to many members of SF I've been lucky to get on pre orders...but I'm the guy paying the whole amount in advance...although as long as I'm in the game I'm not complaining. Kathy at Alden DC is working on getting some socks for me...but simply nobody offers the cool make ups in large sizes. Same goes for some of the cool shirts and pants...hard to get.

Found a belt for the B&M reverse chamois for those interested. Allen Edmonds bitter chocolate suede matches really well. On sale for $49. Not a bad match and deal.
