You can use low quality listing pics, if you did not take many yourself.

Wow, totally forgot that I actually took Nikon pics of them.

These are the before pictures. I really didn't spend much time on them, maybe 20 minutes max. I figured that I would slowly clean them up over time.

Beauties. Sorry about the whole office thing...

Is Alden's split reverse welt come prestitched and separate from the upper, or do they stitch it directly onto the upper norwegian style?

I've never owned a pair with that particular welt.

Casual Saturday with my Indys.

Someone posted a few pages back about the difficult process of finding which lasts/sizes work well with your own respective feet. That left me feeling a bit wistful, particularly when it comes to rare shell (It took me three runs to finally get the Leffot daytrippers to work. I now know the Grant last simply isn't the best last for me)

Anyone know the boot make-ups that have been done on the Plaza last in Ravello? I need some fodder for my Alden dreams.

FransBoone did a ravello "indy" on the Plaza a few years back. It has not returned in a while.

I cannot think of any other plaza Ravello boots.

Alden of DC does run a ravello plaza cap toe medallion blucher from time to time, when the horses permit.

I have a pair of pinch penny loafers in unlined caramel shell. Excellent shoe except the leather soles they use feel cheap. I would get the shoe with a LH sole if I could do it again.

Also, keep in mind they look more casual than a pair of lhs if that is the style you are going for. Hope this helps!

Some German or other European store had ravello plaza captoe boots some time ago and they were being resold on eBay for a few grand.

Thanks for the reply about Rancourts. I know the hide comes from Horeeen but how is the quality of the construction of the shoe compared to Alden LHS?
