Interesting tidbit:

I was re-watching the Epaulet Alden tour video yesterday. Floyd mentions that the price of the 975 in 1957 was $30 a pair. If you take $30 from 1957 and run it through the CPI inflation calculator, that equals approx. $255 today.

I guess Shell Cordovan has outpaced inflation, just a bit.

I don't want to repeat this....Shell Cordovan is extinct!!! Just because you can buy thousands upon thousands of pairs of it right now from retailers across the world does not mean it is not rare...

Now getting the Ultimate Lego Millenium Falcon...that is rare!

Alden x Brick+Mortar Reverse Tobacco Chamois Wingtip boots
- Commando Sole
- 360 Flat Welt / Antique Edge
- Eyelets and Speed Hooks

My first rev cham boots. They are comfortable as hell and I can tell they're meant to be an everyday boot in any condition. They smell like playdough. They are super oily so I expect they'll be pretty water repellent today since we're getting a little dusting of snow apparently. I'm stoked... they're a great boot and worth the wait.

Also a side note - Yenni at Brick and Mortar is amazing to deal with and has a ton of great makeups. If you haven't bought from her store before, make make sure to give her a call!

@chrisefi those are fantastic! Really like them with the flat welt. Hope Yenni does another run at some point.

It's as if Engineered Garments did an Alden collab.

#8 Indy's today. Getting scuffed up and discolored in all the good ways (Preemptive: no, I don't need to clean them or any advice on how to get the markings off of them).

Hello guys,
Question on sizing. I am looking for Cordovan Alden's in Barrie last.

I wear the following :
-Crockett & Jones Northcote : 7UK
-Tricker's Stow Boot : 7.5 UK
-EU size : 42 (TTS)

Which size should I go for the Alden's ?

Thanks,

C&J 7
Stow 7 (felt short)
barrie 7.5
eu 41 (42 equals a 9 US which doesn't seem to coincide with your other sizes)

thanks Akeem, really helpful
I'm pretty sure to be a 42 EU, well...anyway I trust your advice nod[1].gif
dumb question though, when you are saying Barrie 7.5 it's a US size right ? (heard that Barrie sizes +0.5 vs other Alden lasts) ? shog[1].gif

Agree this looks very odd. I'm at 42 EU and take 8.5 Barrie. I know feet and shoes differ but this seems very big discrepancy.
