there's a few make ups I missed in the past but I don't remember the smooth TC tanker from Leffot.  I remember several Reverse Chamois make ups.  I may just have missed the regular smooth chamois make up.
I know a few years ago TSM did a TC  smooth cap toe boot but they did not have my size.  I know many love the reverse TC and it is nice.  I'm hoping something shows up in 2016 in smooth TC in a tanker or CT boot.  I" prefer commando but could also live with a double watercolor too.

What's the best way to contact Alden- is there an email?

I have a pair of Indys I've had for about 4 months and they're pretty much falling apart prematurely IMO. Do others think this is normal or it would be reasonable to ask them to fix?

No, no. Nobody owns Cigar Brixtons.

The question is how those Indys were worn and treated. That shouldn't happen but if you were wearing them a lot and especially in snow, rain and SALT, that could really do damage fast.

I did wear them several times in the snow, but they are boots after all- and it's not even been one season. Guess I'll see what AoM has to say.

I've worn my Ultimate Indy's through 5 Boston winters with no thought as to what I was stepping in (salt, slush etc) and nothing like that has happened. I'm still on the original commando soles even (though they are about dead now).

that's a defect.

That's a pretty easy fix for a cobbler to glue those pieces down. It might not be worth the time and effort to send them back. You could even re-glue yourself with some Shoe Goo.

I have a line on some C width LWB but no place to try them on for reference.

Not all boots are created equal.   Alden leather/rubber Commando soles are not particularly robust.  The leather "mid soles" absorb moisture and could create a lot of problems.
