I ask for your opinions on this matter - I currently have a pair of brown chromexcel Alden indy boots, which I love. Thinking about getting another one in snuff suede or black chromexcel...  Anyone photos that can better clarify the situation?

Don't really know what I can really match with black boots...

Thanks for the help! smile.gif

I'll throw it out there that you should look for a black or snuff boot that is not an indy style, for variety sake. although i will say the pair of black indys i had were some of the most complimented aldens i ever had. my personal favorites are the snuff roy boots i have from context.

also can confirm j. gilbert is no longer offering aldens, happened by the shop the other day and they had converted the space that was once devoted to alden to women's shoes. quite frankly, the writing was on the wall once yenni left.

Question for you fine gents...

I'm sure this has been asked and answered a hundred times but I can't seem to more than 3 opinions that agree with one another.

If I wear a 9D Barrie and a 9.5D Grant, would it be safe to assume that I would also wear a 9.5D Plaza?

Thank you,

^^^ Every pair of feet are different, but yes. That is a relatively safe assumption.

Thank you,

I don't have a Plaza shoe or boot but I have similar experience in a Plaza loafer.

I am a usual 8.5D in Barrie and the 9D Plaza loafer slips around my heel. It could be the fact they were lightly used/stretched but I would go try one first before buying a Plaza loafer for the first time.

Correct, TTS for the plaza last. It fits more snug through the waist than the grant. I'm an 11 d in Barrie and I have an 11.5d in the plaza that is my best fitting boot.

Agreed, akin to a snowflake, but this information was helpful and points me towards the right direction. Thank you!

Whoops...too late. Citi-Shoe's Color 8 tanker was screaming my name. I was holding out for the AoM version but their make-up sounded amazing.

Thank you for your help! Wasn't even aware of plaza loafers. All mine are van or aberdeen.

Thank you,

I'd also like to echo the others that it's fairly safe that you'd take your Grant size in Plaza.

Agreed.  I'd also add that this is true for Aberdeen and Hampton for me.
