The only footwear I wore today. Lets hope the 4th time was the last of my shoveling for the day.

I am thinking about resoling my Indy Boots and going with the white Vibram Cristy sole.  Just curious if anyone had a recommended cobbler to do the work?  I live in a small mountain town so I'll definitely have to send them out.  I've seen B Nelson mentioned in the past.  Just seeing if there were any others I should consider sending my boots to?

Thx!

Randy the Cobbler (in Arizona) would probably do a good job with this type of conversion, but he's booked until March: http://randythecobbler.com/

I sized it TTS and it worked well for me, but it's common to go TTS but size up in width

Pulled out my old PTB in #8 shell this morning to wear with my OA02XX to wear to the shop today.  I had these resoled with brown Dainites about 4 years ago now, as the original crepe soles were not working for me.  Got some sun on them, too, apparently!

Laces are by Stolen Riches, which fit into some, but not all Aldens.

Leydon is pretty narrow, throughout and also in the toebox. I'm an 8D Barrie, and tried both 8.5E and 9D in Leydon. I find that the 8.5E fits me best. Some people use the Barrie last with a higher width (8E for me) but I found the 8E to be not wide enough for my foot (I have pretty wide feet).

I'm a perfect 11.5 D in Leydon and a perfect 11 C in Trubalance (Indy)

I went from a 7.5D in my Barrie and Trubalance to an 8E in the Leydon, the fit is great.

Perfect thanks all. Looks like I'll go for a 6.5E or so.

Don, you are killing it as always in your Whiskey LHSes! Great pairing as well.

Very nice lighting in that photo. Enjoy your PT Boots!

Nice looking boots! Hah, I thought the Right one was Cigar as well from this photo...

I go up one width, but essentially the same effect.

These are actually Ravello (40664HC) - somewhat brown for Ravello but especially so in this light (the color #8 pair looks black!).

Some photos of this pair in better lighting:

I do have a pair of Cigar cap toe boots, but they're the AoM model on Barrie (4074).

Okay, those look more Ravello.

Looking good in your suit today Henry! The 9015 is a perfect pairing for a Navy Suit.

Looking very good in your Alden Color 8 Dovers. Nice looking patina on those.

May want to reach out to @zennypoo if you are that size as he is or has been selling stuff in that size range.

Well said. Are they Selvedge or is it a taped seam? Either way they look great.

I'd never heard that before. Thx for sharing Steve. Does Kathy in DC offer E widths on their grant last CT/commando boots?

Leffot Tankers. Thought I'd wear the most complimented pair yesterday!
