Don, those Hunting Green Indys are rad with the Brass Hardware. Also, like the Chords. Hopefully you are keeping warm!

Gentlemen, please provide some feedback in regards to the differences between the Commando vs. Neocork sole. I am a tad bit saddened I could not find this boot with the Commando sole - I've heard that it provides great traction during the winter. If I am simply walking through sidewalks and such, will the Neocork sole be enough to get by the winter? I'm hoping that these boots will be good enough of a winter boot for this season :foo:

I will allow others who deal with this snow like stuff comment on this one, sorry just not my domain... :-)

at the same time it's not going to look huge. I happen to be wearing my Ultimate Indy's with Commando. here you go. (these get very little love, shoe trees sometimes, sometimes polishing, wear in any weather etc)

Those Indy's are looking good, seen plenty of foot time.

Marv, yeah, those Whiskey LWBs are superb. You need to wear them more. Nice to see you got the REDA memo yesterday... :-)

Ravello Chukkas! These have an incredibly nice shade of Ravello, from 2012.

White pebble grain saddle on thick leather sole... best golf shoe ever!  (so sad to see their factory close down)

Looking good in your Saddles. Concur that those are the way to go with golfing. I want to someday get a pair of Color #8 Saddles and convert them into golf shoes.

Sure, Alden Ravello Shell LWB (2014 via AoC) versus AE Walnut Shell Strand (2012 via AE Webgem). I will add that the AEs are 4 years old now and have been worn ~40-50 times, so they have patina'ed quite a bit. I also have VSC'ed them a few times (especially right after I got them) and that darkened them just a pidge. They were slightly more muted when I first got them (picture attached for reference).

Naturally Diffused Lighting.

Direct Sunlight.

Brand new Walnut Shell.

Brand new Ravello.

Ready for date night with my better half.  She asked me what's up with the green pants...

Seems like the "fatigue" wool suiting pants from J Crew have become a staple on this thread.  Found them the other day on clearance for $42 shipped.  Can't get enough of this older, olive shade of cigar.

Trying my Barrie last PTB that arrived today from TSM. This is my second Alden purchase after the Wingtip Blucher last week. Now time to confirm my Barrie Tanker and Grant Captoe boot MTOs with Alden Madison and Alden DC :)

I did for the barrie last. Going with 10 C on the Grant last as per your and kathy's advice. Hampton and Aberdeen lasts can wait till I get to visit either of the three Alden retailers in SF, DC or NY. Happy with the start of my collection smile.gif
