at the same time it's not going to look huge. I happen to be wearing my Ultimate Indy's with Commando. here you go. (these get very little love, shoe trees sometimes, sometimes polishing, wear in any weather etc)

LOVE THOSE. Guess I'm pulling the trigger.

Alden of Carmel, Brick + Mortar, and JGilbert may.

Love your plaza grain boots.  Do these have a 360 welt?  I'm thinking about getting in on the next order.

J Gilbert has a #8 on plaza. Yenni and Brick and Morter has a few on plaza but not shell that I'm aware of. A navy cxl for sure and maybe some calf makeups. If your looking for plaza makeups. Yenni is who to go to.

Yenni will be likely picking up the #8 WT Boot on Plaza makeup.

Always a lovely makeup. Good luck with the Cigars.

Both of your boots are looking quite snazzy. I may have to get that NST next time for a foul weather boot... Not that I need any more shoes...

Oddly enough, I wear a tuxedo more than a suit these days, and I'm looking to replace my too-large Kent Wang calf bals with something else.  I know formal calls for bals, but I'm trying to justify the Plaza blucher in black shell.  Any opinions?

They'd be excellent when the temp in San Diego drops below 49 w/cloudy skies, Mike.

If you wear tuxes, consider a pair of opera pumps perhaps? I don't know if Alden makes them with a bow, but I know Alden of Madison has black shell whole cut plain loafers that would work great.

RL often has the EG patent opera pump for quite cheap during sales. I would go patent for tuxes, whether a pump or a plain toe bal. shell is likely too rugged.

Hey Mike - any chance I could get a close up shot of that Walnut Shell from AE compared to a Ravello?
