Parajumpers in color 8 Grant last

Looking great in your Color 8 Parajumpers. The Grant Last looks great with the CT Boot pattern.

Those are looking great, very Chromexcel-ly.

Jeab, you have a very nice collection of boots going on there. Enjoy them! I believe that your Cigar PTBs are more likely from Alden SF, especially with the text written on the bottom there.

We received some good snow Saturday through Sunday here in Boston. I believe the long winter has finally begun here in New England. I received my new color #8 cordovan perforated tip balmoral oxford as well! Sprayed some leather defender on it with today being the maiden voyage. Photo below:

I find that the Hampton last is quite similar in fit/size to the Aberdeen last. However, the Hampton is not as sleek as the Aberdeen in my opinion (Hampton last a little bit wider).

Hope you gentlemen have a great day - stay warm!

Cheers.

Those are quite classy there my friend, a great shoe to wear with a suit. You are correct, the Aberdeen is Alden's longest and narrowest last. It is said to be shaped like an A. The Hampton is a sleeker last for Alden and typically fits pretty closely to the Aberdeen. I wear 11B on both lasts... Enjoy your new boots in good health!

The Ravello LWB is always one of my favorites. Great with Dark or Tan Edging... :-)

It was suggested that I contact Alden and see what they thought. So I did. I emailed Alden, and they responded requesting some additional pics of the shoe lining, and this morning they responded that the shoes were a special make-up and they are alpine grain and #8 cordovan, Barrie last, long wing.

I wouldn't have guessed #8, thought maybe a Ravello, but the mystery is solved.

Yeah, i wouldn't have ever guessed that to be Color #8 either. Looks like an honorary Ravello to me... :-)

Thanks Mike.  Not quite as loud in person.  Lighting accentuated the red

Those are cool.

Regarding color 8, I think that's what you get when Alden doesn't add their eggplant dye to color 8 shell.

yeah that looks like it's an the range of "non-Alden" #8 shell but there's a big variance inherently there. for instance here is a pic of C&J Burgundy shell (#8) and 2 pairs of AE #8 loafers. the C&J are older and have patina'd to a different color but the 2 others are pretty different

note: I do not have 3 feet

You're not actually considering wearing those are you?  They need to be preserved at the National Alden Archives so future generations can learn from it.  All kidding aside, super cool make up.  Congrats!
