It is a wonderful day. Decided to get all the horses out of the stable to get some sun and pics.

All the # 8 lined up getting ready for their picture

The rest of the ponies lined up.

I will post the roster of model numbers when I get back to the house.

Managed to dump an entire venti coffee on my suede LWB's.
They appear to have come out of it unscathed, bullet dodged.
Perhaps suede is more durable than I thought.

Yes luckily I did use Nano on these. It really works great,
the coffee just rolls right of. I agree the brass make these
shoes pop.

looks like a stitching hole. If you can return it and get a replacement pair for the same price, i would do that, otherwise I think its OK to keep for an $80 saving!

just put some wax in there and conditioner, and polish it off
Unfortunately it's the last pair of the size. And they're out of stock online. I'm not sure if I should contact Alden customer services and I don't know how. For AE they have a centralized customer service line but can't find one for Alden.

Go through the retailer you bought it from. Otherwise email [email protected].

Sorry could've zoomed in.
It's under the vamp.

Frankly, I agree with Ari personally, my tolerance level for the side of the shoe is higher than the front of the shoe as well. But that is just me.

ravello x frans boone

Those Plaza Ravello Indy Boots are looking amazing DV! Hope that you enjoyed them!

Absolutely love these!! I have the color 8 sibling from FransBoone but the ravello ones are just on a different level.

From two days ago (too many colors, please ignore the rug. Or the socks...):

The Dr. Jones boots are a solid makeup.

They did come out unscathed, which is great! The suede protector products are fantastic!

Those Ravello Indies are a game changer.
I have the black and color 8 versions but they pale in comparison.

Fantastic pair today @MrDV !!

I think the plaza ravello indy is my fav unicorn.

Thanks for the kind words. Here is a list of model numbers, that might help answer any questions and fill any gaps. I said I was going to post yesterday but I got sidetracked.
Left to Right in the lineup pics,
Top:
4060 Grant Cap Toe (AofM)
44610C Pebble Grain WTB Barrie Last (AofC if I can remember correctly)
40568C #8 Indy Boot (Shoe Mart)
4020HC NST Boot/ Tanker #8 (I can not remember, for some reason I want to say Sir Max in Amsterdam, but think I might be wrong) w/commando soul.
986 LHS (Hubert White MPLS)
Bottom:
86987HC Black Indy Boot (AofC or Leather Soul Hawaii can not remember)
13132 Cigar Chukka (AofM, I just lucked out, story bellow)
13750 Ravello Chukka (Shoe Mart or Sir Max, box just has a SM written on the inside by me. If I was betting Shoe Mart)
24061 Whiskey Shell NST.
I want to say I got them from the Shoe Mart, but I can not remember. I do know this was an instant purchase, I saw them and pulled the trigger with out even thinking twice, that is what makes me think SM because there was really no long wait. And I know I got them in the Golden Age before every vendor was doing custom make ups. I can post the maker number but they make no sense to me.
9064 Whiskey Cap Toe Balmoral (AofM)
I bought the 9064, 4060 and 13132 on the same day. I saw the 9064 on the shelf and asked if they had my size, fellow said they did, I said I would take them. He looked at me and asked if I wanted to try them on and if knew what they cost. I replied I did not need to try them on and was well aware of the cost. He said he had some other stuff I might like in back, and he brought out the other two pairs. I snatched them up like they were hot and had them shipped home this was 08 or 09. I just finished sending the 9064 off to a great home, because I was not giving them the attention they deserved. We might see them pop back up on here ;)

The 86987HC Black Indy was customized by Brian the Boot Maker/Role Club. The work was worth every penny. Took the Alden Shell Indy boot to next level. On par with any shoe/boot on the market IMHO (I look at them as a MTM or bespoke Alden) The guy is an artist, took a great pair of boots and turned them into a work of art. If you don't know his work, take a few minutes to look him up.

Thanks for reading the wall of text, sorry if the stories were boring.

Great stuff. You clearly get a lot of wear out of your shoes. I especially like the black indy boots, both chukkas, the whiskey captoe bal and 4060. I feel that we don't see many cordovan chukkas on the thread like we used to two or three years ago. I owned two - whiskey chukka (sold it as I got rid of all of my D widths) and cigar (sold it when I got my indy boots). The chukkas can get a great patina to them that are kind of unrivaled and unique. If I could get a cigar or ravello pair, I would.

I love my Ravello chukkas. I just don't have an much occasion to wear them, as I find them just a tad too casual for my office. I do wear them on the weekends all the time, though. I usually forget to take pictures on the weekend...
