THE EUROPEAN THRIFT BUY /SELL / TRADE / WANT THREAD

There was a discussion whether there's enough people that are interested to do this.
So, let's kick it off and see where it goes. As the title says, this is for us European (mainly EU) -based thrifters who want to trade :)

Please tag all EU-based people you know :)

So, to start things, I have bought this minty pair of Ferragamo bit loafers for my GF, but unfortunately they're a bit tight for her. They're Ferragamo's size 7C, which corresponds roughly to an EU37.

What I'm looking for (to trade or to buy):

For me:
-shoes, size 45EU/10,5UK (pretty much anything of quality is interesting - get at me)
-suits & sportcoats 40R/42R (depends on brand). Navy staples, or interesting patterns.
-trousers waist 34/36 inseam 32
-accessories (ties, gloves, scarves, squares, etc)

For my GF:
-preppy style stuff (like what you'd get from Polo et al), in small sizes
-maybe shoes? Depends :)

Tagging everyone (I think) I know are from within the EU.

@HansderHund
@thebuddahman
@Doomsticks
@freehand
@eddiegreen

Please tag people you know, too, and let's get the ball rolling.

Glad we finally got this going. It will be much easier to get trades etc going due to the international hopping often making it unviable. Who else knows of other UK/EU thrifters that may be interested?

Almost forgot to post my deets!

I'm UK based and actively thrift and buy/sell on ebay. I'd much rather deal with people from the forum though and support my thrifting brothers. :slayer:

I'm a 29/30" waist, same with the leg. Need a bit more room in the thigh and seat but like a slim/regular fit. S/M for sweaters etc. 36S generally for suits/jackets. UK 8 for shoes approx. I don't like baggy or relaxed fits. I'm definitely a CM guy rather than SWD.

I'm always in the market for stuff so show me what you have! At the moment I'm particularly keen for:

Brown boots for everyday wear
Cable knit jumpers
Dark brown shoes for the office
Jeans in navy or regular
Office staple trousers

Show me your wares!

EU bros! Here's some stuff I picked up today. All available:

Asics gel noosa Tri 9 running shoes. UK 10. Pretty well used but sell well. Especially with January around the corner. Any running bros want?

APC jeans. My jean game is poor so I don't know what kind of denim they are. Actually I know very little about if they are decent at all. They look in great condition. They say 42 on the label. Really baggy fit.

RRL Ralph Lauren blue check shirt. Nice loop fastening for the top button and two chest pockets. 100% rayon. Quality seems lovely. Mens XL.

Slim picking there, but thanks. I've always found Oxfam to be the shop where I find the least good stuff.

Any of you guys interested in any of this before it hits ebay?

An excellent thread. I would really appreciate if you guys would post in the appropriate B&S forum as well, so that there is more exposure. You may feel free to link from that forum here, and vice versa.

Thanks,

Fok,

It's been dry here in addition to having no time to thrift...
I do have something that's maybe going out of rotation - a staple herringbone 100% cashmere Chester Barrie SC. 43R, 2btn, Dual vents. I'm not super excited about the cut.
Shere's a small stain on front (but should come out with dry cleaning easily).
Quick photos below, can send better ones if interested.

Got some coats/jackets today that are all available. Will post later.

Gajsek - was thinking maybe the name of the thread could be changed so it's clear it's about thrift items. Might confuse a few people and put them off?!

Changed the title. Good suggestion.
