THE EUROPEAN THRIFT BUY /SELL / TRADE / WANT THREAD - Page 10

A quick thrift fit pic - this is the Zegna silk/cashmere blazer that thebuddahman was selling. Excuse the fact it's taken in my bathroom, it's the only room in the house with a full length mirror.

That looks great on you Nick. Glad it worked out for you smile.gif

By the way gents, I'm going through the various PMs about the Loro piana jackets. Here are a few more pictures...

The pale yellow one I've not got around to more pictures yet.

A few more bits and pieces

A really lovely blue cotton Montedoro (made by the same people as Incotex) jacket with patch pockets, unlined. Sized as a 52/42 but in reality a lot slimmer - I wear a 40-42 and it's too small for me. It would suit a slim 40 I reckon. Shout if you want measurements. £50

D&G jacket in dark blue, again tagged as a 52/42 but again one for the slim guys, too small in the waist for me. Sleeves have been taken up at some point. Again, let me know if you would like measurements. £30

Belvest double breasted jacket in grey, unvented, 52/42 £20

Brook Taverner windowpane check jacket, a generous 42, especially in the shoulders.

Good point - yes, four on each sleeve, and if it isn't clear on the photo its a 2 roll 3 on the front.

Thanks --- I'm going to have to drop out on this one, as the sleeves look a bit too long for me, given the working buttonholes, but it does look great.

Happily for me I have received a Zegna garment washed cotton jacket this morning which is going to work for summer and casual wear. Performed minor surgery to save the 3r2, which had been oppressed into a hard 3 button. The sleeves almost there, and have sham buttonholes.

No problem - yeah, it's a lovely jacket, it's just too slim for me and I've settled at my current weight so I don't think I'll ever get in it!

Gents...here are the measurements for the Cashmere Loro Piana sport coat...

To me it looks new and unworn. The loro swing tag is still on the button and all pockets are basted shut. Naturally the jacket is stunning.

Features:
Ticket pocket
Throat latch
Unlined to body
Lightly padded shoulders
Lining to sleeves
4 non-working sleeve buttons
Dual vents

23" pit to pit across front, laid flat
27" sleeve to shoulder seam (outer measurement)
19" pit to sleeve cuff
31.5" length at rear (collar seam to bottom)
19.5" across shoulders at rear

Happy to provide more measurements and pictures on request. Price negotiable.
