It may be too much of a specialty thing for me and that's fine. Figured I'd get a second opinion though. It sounded kind of appealing for some reason.

It depends on your office. You can definitely dress it down and go sans tie with a chambray or linen shirt. Maybe a casual Friday suit? It all depends on what your office environment is like.

Hey everyone,

I'm sorry if this has already been answered somewhere else. I have tried using the search feature, but haven't found a conclusive and recent answer. If this question has already been answered, please point me in the right direction.

Basically, I have to wear suits every day to work and travel every week. I need to look nice, but since the suits will wear due to traveling and consistent use, I don't want to spend more than $1000.

I have a few suit supply Napoli suits that fit "OK", but they could certainly be better. I'm wondering if their MTM program is worth it. I also recently had some shirts from Balani (Chicago, IL) made and am pleased with their quality. I was wondering if anyone had experience with their suits. Lastly, I came across Proper Suit online and have only heard good things.

Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions here.

Thank you

Any opinions of this one from Valmour?  Should I be looking at something else for the price that can be found in the US?

Hey @SoonerChris, I don't have any opinion on that one (no experience), but here is one from a great shop in the U.S. http://www.nomanwalksalone.com/index.php/footwear/shoe-care/brown-shoe-care-travel-kit-with-saphir-products.html

Hey @bbartel1, I've seen some pretty good results from Suit Supply MTM and would give them a try.  Have you tried any of the other cuts they offer?  You can also check out Kent Wang in that price range.  Our members have a lot of good things to say about his MTM program http://www.styleforum.net/t/151480/kent-wang-affiliate-thread

Thanks.  Obviously the Kiwis OR George's aren't not quite as good as the above Safir but will they suffice as a starter set?

Sure, they will get the job done.

In regards to the shoe care, how many brushes do you require? Is one for each shade/color excessive or necessary? For example, can a single brush be used for most shades of brown?

I have three: one for brushing after wear, one for use with light colored polish, and one for use with dark colored polish.
