Vermont Flannel Co.

Just found this company called Vermont Flannel. All their clothing and accessories are cut and sewn in the USA from the finest European flannel. From what I've read, the finest European flannel(specifically the flannel from Northern Portugal) is made from a special variety of cotton with nice super long hairy resilient fibers. Supposedly the characteristics of the cotton resists pilling, adds durability, and enhances softness. Some flannels become uncomfortable after just the first wash, however this kind of flannel is supposed to retain its softness and hairy finish very well over time. There is a good chance it will even get more comfortable with wear. At the $52 price point, I'm seriously considering getting one of their shirts just for the fun of it. It's so cool that they are made in Barre, Vermont. Barre is such a great little town.
Love these colors:

Anyone here have any experience with this company? Thoughts?

Thanks!

Can you confirm its organic no GMO cotton?

Judging by the characteristics of the cotton variety it is likely either an heirloom or natural hybrid. It is primarily the cheap shorter staple cottons that are GM’ed. Actually, some of the super soft hairy cottons used in high-end flannels are tree cotton. If it is tree cotton then there is zero chance it’s GM and an excellent chance it is completely organic.

Edit:

Yep, looks like they use Tevis: http://www.teviz.pt/en

Nice stuff...:thumbs-up:
