I want to have long hair (not extremely long, just longer than normal, like just above chin length). I have extremely straight, brown hair. Any suggestions for a cut that isn't extremely boring?

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

Long hair suggestions?

It sounds like you have similar hair to me, except that I'm blonde. Anyways, I'm rocking a sort of Paul Weller inspired cut at the moment. Something like this photo except not quite as short on top. http://shinymedia.blogs.com/photos/u...aul_weller.jpg
Previously when I've gone for longer hair in the front of my face I've had it cut asymmetrically with my "bangs" longer on one side. Have fun with it and go to a decent hair stylist when getting a more progressive cut. Good luck.

Get a decent hairstylist, not the most expensive you can find but someone who does not work too fast (no cheap cuts chains) and who is about your own age or close enough to be a sibling. Tell the person the same thing. I had straight brown hair and wore it long before it got half gray and more kinky. You might want to go easy on the shampoo--every other day at most--just wash it with hot water the other days. You will get more texture and less young Jackson Browne. The person that cuts my hair says it's much easier to work with if I have not shampoo'd and def. have not conditioned it the day of a cut. Also you need to give the hairstylist more than one crack at your head. Everyone's hair is different and wants to do different things. Let the hairstylist figure out what good things can be done with your hair. Could be that some cuts will look great and others will not. I wouldn't get my heart set on some haircut or look until I talked to someone who had cut my hair before about how this is or is not going to work.
