Hey Kevin, out of the brands you listed, I would definitely go with Suit Supply.  The quality of the SCs is just the same as the suits.  Here is the Suit Supply thread and a picture of a jacket I have from them post #9772

Just wondering Murlsquirl,

Why do you recommend Suit Supply over the others I listed?

Sorry, I got your PM but I've been very busy. A few of those are fashion brands and most of their stuff is a bit too trendy for me. Suit Supply is great because they have a cut/style for just about everyone. They also use better than average fabrics and at minimum are at least half canvassed (some full). In my opinion, they are a great value. Samuelson is not a bad option either.

Glad to join this community!

Few questions from me

What are some types of button that are good for casual wear that aren't chambray flannel or oxford cloth?

This is something I found on grailed from Robert Geller. Is this Broadcloth/poplin? Is it alright to wear these types of shirts with denim/non suit options?

2. Is there a color guide for matching dress shoes with a suit or for general more formal wear such as blazers? Deciding between getting tan or black oxfords but not sure what color combinations would be appropriate. Thanks!

I'm still young and wanted to know how to deal with the criticism for dressing like a "doctor" despite being one.

Also Pants should "hide" your socks or you could show them ?

Hi NewToSuits - pictures are worth a thousand words. If you could post some pictures where people have been critical we can have a look and try to help.

Regarding pant length I aim for between a quarter break to no break. Sometimes you can see a little of my sock but I don't mind and it gives one an excuse to show off ones nice shoes. Pant length is quite individual with some preferring more or less than what I outlined above. Hope that helps.

Hi, I wanted to find out if anyone can give me some information on this jacket. It's a Ralph Lauren Blue Label Signature, made in the U.S. I want to sell it, but have no idea regarding price. I'm not trying to sell it in this post, just need info.

I apologize about the lighting in the picture. The jacket is charcoal gray, and it is fully lined. For some reason it does not have a size tag anywhere. Also, there is a small slit on the collar that is about 1/2" long that is very difficult to see. I have included a close-up picture of it with a circle around it. The measurements are as follows:

Chest - 49"
Waist - 44"
Shoulder Width - 22"
Jacket Length - 30.5"
Sleeve Length - 24"

Thanks so much in advance.

Hi all,

Does anyone here like Falke socks? Looking to replace sock draw with wool. I notice that they say that their socks are 'merino outside, cotton inside'. Despite having some cotton in them, they seem really well reviewed. Is the cotton content a red flag and can anyone recommend the brand?

Welcome to the forum, Matt.  Falke makes nice socks.  I wouldn't worry about the cotton content.
