What are you....7?

You spoke with someone on the phone and it comes down to he said-she said. Who knows who you talked to? Did you talk to the guy who answered the phone and was on his way out and wanted to make his buddies have to deal with a last minute repair? Did you talk to someone who picked up the phone from another department?
The point is you spoke with someone on the phone.

You were slightly naive (granted that you could have waited til the next day) in thinking that they would be happy to help you. But technically you were in the right, you called and they told you they could do it.

There is absolutely no excuse for them to crash your car by driving it off the lift.

I'd still complain to Sears, the employees just could have told you no in the first place and this all could have been avoided.

When I was 18 I got a structure credit card and I wanted to see what would happen if I didn't pay my balance. They sent me notices using this exact phrase. That $40 bill remains on my credit report haha as the only ding.

Okay cool...the more questions we ask the more responses in your favor you'll give, right?

Should I repost your little comic strip?

it was obvious to me they didn't want to service my car just from talking to them on the phone. in fact, i'd think that most workers don't want to work, but business is business.

Well they still told you they'd do it, so complain to Sears and go earlier next time. And don't go to Sears again. I use Costco, they are actually nice there.

no, it's more like if you ask a dumb question you should expect someone to point it out. and if you wanna post another DC comic, knock yourself out.

i find it hard to believe that this is how you respond to someone venting though (whether on the internet or in real life). i guess you are clever for reminding me that i took a risk, which just happened to almost not pay off.

Yeah, expecting "quality customer service" from Sears is a lot like being an elevator mechanic: you always get the shaft.

are you kidding me?! lol, well, i logged on to add that i found out that sears charged me an extra $100 on my card, but yeah.

first, confusing taking a risk with expecting an outcome and now not being able to read in between the lines - if you actually thought that that line was said literally, you are a lot less socially intelligent than i thought, get smart. that line was obviously said to get sears to service my car.

reminds me of those responses in briansd's "distracted" thread where people have to overanalyze everything and aren't able to just enjoy a story. my roommates found the more recent responses hilarious though (in a ridiculous kind of way), so maybe you should keep posting haha. we can make this thread a collection of fashion nerds criticizing a car story.

Man. You came expecting sympathy and some people called you a moron instead. Let it go, dude. It'll be ok.
